Blocking “leftist propaganda” would drive the editorial biases to the center. Therefore, we must conclude that the conservative, or right-leaning, board members were supporting leftist propaganda. We are looking for a filler word such as “allow” or “support.”

我觉得不应该先入为主，虽然左派和右派经常是对立的，但GRE不能根据常识答题，看句子： Despite ... , the city’s newspaper has maintained some sense of neutrality because a majority of the board understood the conservative caucus to have sham intent in trying to galvanize public opinion against the paper. 由转折容易看出Despite句讲的应该是non-neutrality，所以右派应该支持左倾后右倾。所以是sanction和 ...

由转折容易看出Despite句讲的应该是non-neutrality，所以右派应该支持左倾后右倾。所以是sanction和wallow in。

如果右派block左倾，这个应该是偏向neutrality的。
