------正文------
The speaker believes that disagreement can cause stress and inhibit learning, therefore he assert that we can usually learn much more from people whose views they share than from people whose views contradict our own. However, in my opinion, we can learn far more from people whose views contradict our own than whose views we share.

Admittedly, we can learn from people whose views we share. Through sharing the same view, we can find ourselves not alone but have companions who support our views, thus gain a satisfaction. We are more likely to listen carefully to those who share the same view as ours, thus gain a better understanding and a firm belief in our own views through discussing with people who have the same views as ours. However, our knowledge and perspectives might be confined in a limited area since we share the same view with each other.

On the other hand, contradicting views can complement our knowledge, make us aware of the flaws in our views and provide a new perspective through which we can observe the same thing from different angles. Through contradicting views we would find that our views have flaws or even are false due our limited knowledge, we can thus learn more knowledge from others, which in turn helps to improve our own views. Moreover, through contradicting views we can broaden our horizons and learn other ways to support our own views. For example, by prove the contradicting views are false; we can better support our views and at the same time gain a deeper understanding of our own views.

Furthermore, contradicting views can inspire us to learn more and further explore the world around us. It is human nature to support our own views and disprove the contradicting views. If we are not informed of contradicting views, we would find it unnecessary to learn more and improve our own views, which would in turn hamper the development of the individual as well as the whole society. Throughout the human history we can see that most of contributions to the society were the results of discussing among people who have different views. For example, Austrian monk Mendel believed that traits are inherited as separate unit, while most of people during his time believed that traits are inherited as a uniform whole. This contradicting view inspired him to test at least 28,000 pea plants in his garden which eventually proved his theory and laid a foundation for modern genetics.

Nevertheless, we cannot ignore that undue dispute over some fundamental facts would impede our learning. We should not always involve ourselves in the meaningless dispute without trying to learn from each other. Only quarrelling on different views without providing enough evidence to support our views is the same as ignoring contradicting views, which only inhibit our learning.

In all, Contradicting views often enable us to learn more than the same views if our attitude toward them is correct.
