Issue 196 Technology creates more problems than it solves, and may threaten or damage the quality of life.

确保生存的前提下，更提高了生活质量。消费能力提高，选择增加；娱乐方式增加；交友方式多样
随着技术不断发展，就问题被解决，新问题产生，技术在周而复始的解决因它产生的问题，在这过程中我们生活质量提高，社会发展，文明进化

Whatever else may be said, most people would share the belief that technology marries to our daily life and nobody has the ability to neglect its influence, whether good or evil. According to the author, technology creates more problems than it solves and at the even worse, it may threaten or damage our quality of life. While it is true that technology has triggers many troubles, we should not lose a sight of the fact that it exert a considerably positive effect on protecting and advancing our life. Accordingly, I cannot support the previous opinion completely with many factors carefully considered.

First of all, there is no substitute for technology since with its application in numerous fields it insures and improves our viability, which serves as the premise of enhance our life standard. Some economists foretell that the reserves of petroleum all around world can support the global use at most 30 years in accordance with the current expending amount. The worry about the alarmism can be reduced by the probability that new substitute can be produced based on the help of advanced technology. The manifestation of the substitute is that nuclear energy and solar resource have been used in many aspects of our production and daily life. What is more, the prediction of natural disasters, such as flood and mud-current (不知道泥石流怎么说), has been more exact and timely because of the advanced weather observation. Tiros and weather ship are able to supervise the tiny changes of environment and rapid communication guarantee the news can be distributed as soon as possible. Thus so fortunate are the contemporary people that advanced technology shelters our life and wealth.

Not only can the technology protect our life right, but it, in a great scale, enhance our life quality. The development of technology leads to the immense progress of mechanization in industry as well an in agriculture, which free us from heavy physical-labor. This is nowhere happier than the fact that we have much personal time and space in the epoch emphasizing personality and character. In this time, we can turn our focus to our favorite science fictions which bring us to an novel and fantastic kingdom, we can enjoys our preferable music which likes a magical hand removing our stress and tiredness. In a not dissimilar way, new technology offers us more ways in entertainment, such as electric games and digital movies. What is more, it even brings us a entirely revolution of the traditional work style which means it is possible for us to work at home with the internet. Undoubtedly, under this circumstance, we are most likely to reduce our pressure of work to a great extent and escape from the heavy traffic on the road which may be an effective and efficient method. If we cast a look back at out history, it is possible to identify that even the most imaginative predictor cannot foresee the gigantic changes technology bringing.

It is admitted that technology triggers troubles when it benefits us. The vivid manifestation of the aspect is that technology brings us the nuclear power that contributes to our life as well as the nuclear weapon that can completely destroy our life. While we should not ignore the effort of scientists who attempt to research and invent more advanced technology to for solving such trouble. It is like a circle-threatens and problems triggered by technology resolved by more advanced technology-in this journey, our life increasingly progress.

As discussed in previous section, technology, in a general way, solves more problems than it creates and the advantages it brings overweight the disadvantages. Considering the development of the whole society and human’s culture, we should better encourage and applaud the progress of technology.
