issue130：How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

In the competitive society, what is socialization and how to socialize children has become a big concern for most people. In my observation, true and thorough understanding the item of socialization is the prerequisite of acting and practice. I approve of the statement that the socialization of children plays a pivot role on the destiny of society, and however the achievement in this task cannot be overlooked recklessly.

First of all, with regard to the socialization, even if people in different ages have different definitions and understandings, they come to the general principle and destination, which is to better adapt to society, to keep abreast with the rapidly varying needs of the society. In the fiercely competitive world, the degree of socialization has become a standard to evaluate the competence and potential ability of the society as a whole. In specification, socialization is composed of the ability to survive, to breed offspring, to transform nature, to struggle against disasters, to promote the progress in both economy and spiritual fields.

When the concept of socialization comes to children, it is widely recognized that how children are socialized reflects the potential competitive and the trend of progress. Children are our future, out hope and our underpinnings of the future. What the children are equipped with and how they are illuminate and taught have essentially affect the behavior and the endeavor to the task of society progress and even more profoundly human progress. The socialization of children may alter and shape and even lead history. As Franklin Roosevelt, a great American president, maintains and I would like to quote” We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build the youth for the future” Since the future of the society is tightly held by the children, it is not groundless to conclude the destiny of society is greatly influenced by the socialization of the children.

However, when analyzing the current situation of the children socialization, we should be circumspect about the reality in a scientific and concrete way —neither too optimistic nor too pessimistic. The task of raising children who are more socialized and competent for the future challenge, calls for teaching in different facets and cultivating them in both the psychological and physical fields. Even the task is effort demanding and the feasibility of such teaching and cultivating needs to be demonstrated after a long time, the achievement that we have obtained cannot be neglected. Take Bill Gates, the CEO of Microsoft company, for example. When he was at an early age, the attachment to computer has sparked his interest in computer designing. Due to his perseverance and the support from the family and society, he has created variable marvels. In the final analysis, we cannot omit the achievement of the teaching for children socialization on the way to the destination of the better, harmonious and prosperous society.

In sum, the thorough understanding of the item –socialization serves as a light dispersing the darkness and misunderstanding when we are on the way of society progress. Realizing the pivot role that the children socialization has assumed, we should also be conscious and objective about the achievement we have obtained in the process.

That is to teach children better adapting to society and keeping abreast with the rapid changing demands of the society. In this world of drastic competition, the degree of socialization has become a standard to evaluate the competence and potential ability of the society as a whole. In specific, socialization is composed of the ability to survive, to breed offspring, to transform nature(这个是什么意思？), to fight against disasters, to progress in both economic and spiritual fields.
