"Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact is that personal economic success requires conformity."
  大多数人只意识到个性化的益处，但实际上个人的经济成功需要一致性。

1.personal economic success requires individuality
2.personal economic success also requires conformity, and we can find our own individuality in the conformity
3.they are not compelling each other

Should we abandon conformity in our daily life and work in such a society which cries for individuality? Can we achieve our success just with the quality of individuality? The speaker disagree such an extreme assertion, and so do I.

Admittedly, we live in a society which cries for individuality. In our working place, we dresses formal but not the same suits to attract other people's eyes, at conference, we bring different ideas to the table to show our own talent, and to our bosses, we eager to offer a original solution about an issue which they would like to hear. So many facts and examples tell us that individuality do help people achieve their personal economical success, Such like Hilton, the giant in the hotel field. In his early years, old Hilton originate the "smiling servicing system" which aims at "make our guests at home" by his own experience, and set up the first Hilton Hotel in the world which makes him a rich man. Even in the Great Depression in America, under the condition that hundreds and thousands hotels were forced to close for financial hardship, with the help of his "smiling servicing system" Hilton's hotel survived in the Depression, and in the recovery, his hotel kingdom become the lead in that field, and his family also become the richest family in the world.

Hilton's individuality brings him fortune and fame, and today, his idea has become the conformity not only in the hotel field, but also in the business world. Think about a picture when you go into a hotel, every one would like to see a pretty servant with a charming smile. Consider a hotel with dull servants, how much the rooms are comfortable, you are probably not want to visit it again. Every field has its own regulations, if you disobey these rules, you are surely a loser in that field. Besides, conformities are not formed in just one night, they must be taken into activities and approved by many people , even many generations, and have their own scientific proves. Any one who want to break up the conformity would be defeated by the fact, and even lose himself.

In sum, our personal economic success requires both individuality and conformity.  Since you are familiar with this conformity, you can take advantage of the conformity, and find your own individuality in it.
