"Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators."

Children are the future of a country. Who is responsible for the education of children? I strongly agree the speaker’s assertion that not only professional educators but also parents and communities involve in cultivating children. If parents and communities take part in children’s education, then children will be prepared, because parents truely know their children’s needs and interests, everyone in communities and parents can educate children after class and follow the professional educators’ advises effectively.
Some may feel that only the professional educators with their specialized knowledge can understand what children need and are interested in, and so, can provide a proper approach to educate every student. What they fail to see, however, is that many students in the teacher-centered schools gradually change their major. Because children have live with their parents since they come to the world, parents know clearly their children’s interests by perpetual observation. Therefore, parents may play a vital role in choosing a proper major, even an education system for their children. Society is replete with examples that it is the parents’ influence that motivate their children to become a famous scientists, such as Marie Curie and her daughter, Bragg and his son.
Even if children can be took good care of in class, it is hard to image every child is accompanied with a teacher all the time. Parents and communities play a more important role in the students’ growth after class. For example, how a child response to a crime in the movie when he/she at home, or to an adult’s discrimination of a cripple? At this time, parents and communities are needed to bring children to an correct sense of such criminal, moral problem and other social activities. Without parents’ participation, students might be misguided and result in chaos in society.
Lack of parents and communities in education, the professional educators’ advises on the children will not be carried out effectively. Generally speaking, experts’ measures serve to a group of students, it is difficult for experts to make a particular plan for every student. Which measure should be adopted depend on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, parents, with the help of experts, choose the most effectively way for cultivating their children, and it is the parents that make the experts’ advises to be valuable. Moreover, everyone in certain communities can take the experts’ advises to establish a good environment in which children can face the social issue rightly and take part in social activities actively.
In sum, only with the cooperation of professional educators, parents and communities can cultivate well-prepared students who make great contribution to well-being of society. Thus, we must construct a system that facilitate everyone in society to educate their offspring.
