Teachers should be paid according to the performance of their students.

Nowadays, some people have an opinion that teachers should be paid according to the performance of their students. They think the students’ performance may stands for the teacher’s ability and work capacity, which may associate with their salaries. I really reject this opinion and insist on that teachers’ salaries should not associate their students’ performance. The reasons are as follows.
First of all, students’ performance could not stands for their teachers’ ability and work output, thus, the teacher’s salary should not depend on it. Study is a process that should co-work between students and teachers, if the teacher works hard, but the students are lazy, the students’ performance will be bad. Otherwise, the students have higher abilities, the teacher are not responsible for his/her teaching work, it’s not reflect the teachers really ability. For instance, during my high school, the study atmosphere in our class is bad, many classmates indulge themselves into PC games or puppy love. And no matter how work hard of our teachers, the improvement of performance in our class is little. So, in this situation, is the bad performance caused by teacher? Our teachers have low ability or little work output? I don’t think so. I think my teachers should also be give normal salaries.
Furthermore, teachers’ salaries associate with students’ performance would cause many problems. A serious problem is that in order to chase higher salaries, many teachers only want to receive the student with higher intelligence, and don’t want to receive the students who have bad performance, which is betraying our education philosophy. Another problem is that teaching aim is not education for all-round development of every student, but for the performance in varies tests and examines. It’s a terrible result! There may be other harms, I just mention a few.
To a certain degree, we should admit the fact that salaries depended on students’ performance may be some what improve the teacher’s enthusiasm to do better work for teaching effects. However, its disadvantages suppress its disadvantages. So, I oppose the option that teachers should be paid according to the performance of their students.
