写的有点少,感觉很难啊
The speakerasserts that the artist rather than the critic gives society something oflasting value. I totally agree with this point as artists are the creator ofart, and it is the art rather than the criticism that survives in the tides oftime.(想表达的意思是“经历时间的冲刷”,不知道这样写对不对)
It’s obvious thatthere will be no art without artists. Artists, in other words, inspired bysomething of everyday life, or their personal experience, create art in theirown ways, to express their feelings. And masterpieces are often to be thosewith fascinating imagination, uncover the hidden life that the majorityoverlooks, or that excellently describe people’s feelings.
Perhaps, one mayargue that critics also play an important part in giving something meaningfulto the art. Admittedly, critics do influence individuals’ feelings of the art,and with the help of their evaluation, many people may find it easier tounderstand artists’ intentions, their feelings, and thus they know more aboutthe art. (“作品”如何表达)
Moreover it seemsthat a critic can provide feedback for artists; and constructive criticism, iftaken to heart, can result in better work. But standing in front of a piece ofVan Gogh, or Monet, no one will wonder what critics have made any criticism, but rather amazed by their talents. Besides, the critics are no different fromcommon people apart from making some personal evaluation for the public. Andfor some cases, they just made some prejudices that many fine piece of art wereburied for some time. Consider Beethoven symphonies, the esteemed critics ofhis time didn’t like his music, they just labeled his music as too loud and farfrom classical. Surely it’s not the critics who have given the vigor and strengthin Beethoven’s music. The critic’s judgment is limited by the narrow confinesof old and established parameters for evaluation. On this point, it the artthat initially and eventually exhibits its characters.
In sum, we canfind that critics are also viewers of the art, their evaluation just reflectstheir own opinions of the art, and no matter what they think, they can’t coverthe true essence of the art. But they may somehow help common people evaluatethe art, thus helping it realizing its value. |
