issue51 "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
The speaker asserts that only when education is specifically designed to meet the indicidual needs and interests of each student it will be truly effective. This opinion points out the importance of indivual needs and interests in education, which I agree with. However, it overvalues the differences of individuals and overlooks other facts that carry the same significance in education.
To start with, that distinguish the differences of each student and make a specifical teaching plan to meet their own needs and interests will certainly contrubutes to education. every studet has their own intelligence and quality of learning, so the speed and volume of knowledge they can accepted are certainly different. If education would be designed specifically according the different facts of each student, students would learning more effective. After all,
it's better for learning to find a more suitable way to themselves. For example,
some reported genius have never been to school. They are educated by their parents in a specifically designed teaching and learning plan, which differs from the most students know in class. The reason why the parents keep their kids learning at home is that they believe their pecial plan is more suitable to their genius then the popular teaching plan in school. The results show us in some cases this may lead to success.
Nevertheless, it is unnecessary and unpretical to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. First, exept for the few students who have much higher IQ than people in the same age, the ability of learning of students are similar, which means the result of learning in the same class have few differences. The better students are usually the harder-working ones. Secondly, it can't be pectised to make specifically designed plan to each student in today's education system. Many students study in the same class with the same teachers, who would be available to get the specific plan?

There are other as important factors in education besides the specifically designed teaching plan. Take the question-and-answer method of teaching for example, it also contributes to education. When teaching, how does the teacher know the sdandard of learning of each students? The qustion-and-answer method help at this moment. The teacher would know the level of learnig of a student by asking and the students can learn more about what they need by puting up questions. We should not only concentrate on making specifically desighned teaching plan but ignore other significant factors such as question-and-answer method.

To sum up, it may be effective when education is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, but it is not the only contributor to the effectiveness of education. The students oriented machanism, the best way to make education effective, needs making efficient and prectical plans.
