正：研究关系到日常生活的历史，确实有价值
我们会因学习历史伟大人物的事迹而得到勉励，从而努力向自己的人生目标靠近。
反：一些看似无关乎日常生活的历史研究同样有价值，因为事实上这样的历史研究与我们有紧密联系
（1）astronomy，看似与我们日常生活无关，可它关系到我们所居住的地球的过去和未来，也就关系到人类的命运与存亡
（2）甲骨文inscription on oracle bones研究，这种文字我们根本无法拿来使用，但它能体现古代华夏文明的智慧，关系到我们每天写的字的来源。
反：由于科技的迅猛发展，有些领域的历史相当短，在过去没有出现过（没有前人的经验），但为了能使它向良好的方向发展，我们必须研究它，哪怕是与日常生活无关的
核的使用：正面的，发电~动力装置；负面的：原子弹~核武器
合：我们研究历史，并不是要根据它是否与日常生活相关来判断是否有价值后再去研究。而是应该本着尊重事实的原则，去发现价值。

Has the study of history merely value to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives? To the speaker, the answer is absolutely yes. I agree insofar as that the history study would be valuable which is related to our daily lives, while whether it is the unique circumstance to be valuable is worth considering. I would unravel the debate with the details following.

To begin with, admittedly, study of history is important to the present life. I have to concede that it would be especially valuable for encouraging students to get closer to their aims when they learn the inspiration from great human achievements in the past. On the other hand, studying historical examples of heroes would provide students courage to face fears in life. In brief, learning about great examples in the past would help students to overcome the difficulties in everyday.

However, certain studies of history would also be valuable which seems to be irrelevant to our daily lives. Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere which we often called the universe. The universe is like an opening history book to tell us where we were from and where we are going to. It seems to be extremely irrelevant to our life, but to help us to find out the past and the future of our Earth and the destiny of human beings. Moreover, the research of inscription on oracle bones has none relation with our life in today apparently, while it has the crucial role as representative of the Chinese civilization. The inscription on oracle bones is the fountainhead of the character we use nowadays in China. In this sense, there are still some study of history could be valuable when they seem to be divided away from our life.

Furthermore, with the tremendously development of technology, some area in science has a short history indeed which is cannot be analyzed by the experience we got in the past. Accordingly we should have to study the history for a better future although it is not related to the daily life. For instance, the research of nuclear use could be either positive for dynamical power or negative as nuclear weapons. In the history of warfare, two nuclear weapons were detonated offensively in the summer 1945. The code-named “little boy” and “fat man” bombs dropped by United States resulted in immediate death of around 120,000 Japanese people and even more deaths from long-term ionizing radiation. The use of these weapons is and remains culpable nowadays for keeping the world peaceful.

In sum, to determine that whether the study of history is valuable does not depend on that if the extent of the study is relevant to our daily lives. To be more importantly, the basic principle of history study is to obey truth in order to find out what happened at that time in that place of certain people. The truth is ultimately valuable for human beings for giving us experience and leading to a better future and I would be hard-pressed to imagine a worthier end.
