Allow me to have some different ideas about the assertion of the topic, in the light of that, i reckon, the history does really have plenty of many other functions instead of what's mentioned upside, moreover, I am even suspicious on the benefit of break down the illusion that people in one period of time are significantly different from people who lived at any other time in history. History is a bible that written with past, forecasting future, and inherits our human prosperity of civilization, except the misunderstanding or illusion we treated people in different periods, since we know history is not just a simple book, the author is not one but whole world without author, we can not reassure but predict.

Proximately, the chief benefit of history resides in three parts of our cognizant field. History is like prolonging aphorism, from where we can get what we want to guide us to go in the right way. Although the situation has changed a lot, but the nature lied in it won't change, we still can use the method that already was used by people before us, that is also the most effective way until now. You can know that chinese traditional medicine keeps the same as before and it gradually shows his great talent to cure some disease that modern medical therapy can not work.

History is like belt that bond the ancestors and offsprings to inherit what we learned from human long time evolving. Through learning history, we can know knowledge we have attained, and pro and con reside in our culture, the obligatory task that we should do is just to hand over our thousand merits and spirits, in consequence with that it will last forever. That's why we are different from other mammals in the world, right? We have our society and culture that comes from thousand years ago, not only just simple biology theory--evolutionism.

History is like Revelation let me glance at what we dream of tomorrow. From history, we can see many prophecies come true, coincident you think it may be, but with so many? I doubt. I would rather believe that it is the deduction of the principles of history by some experts. It also works when we speculate our future, resembling weather report we heard everyday, in curate machine and logistics, i think it will be more predicable.

However to meet the need of breaking down the illusion, I deem that history is overrated. Sometimes history is not such accurate as the logical sciences, which means always having definite answer to one problem, however, it's not, and never could it be. How could we expect use crippled crutch to go through our fuzzy fog of illusion.

History is history which just an view of past that can not be integrate merely on the truth, lack of perceptual constancy, it will be only just fragments of our broken yesterday. Easily can we  reconstruct any periods' prosperity in history by computer, with some logical programme inserted in, that means use our perceptual constancy and put something we haven't been clear aside, then i think, this is just the cogent evidence that demonstrate what i said. You can never fully understand one period without any assumption.

Now that illusion is subjective product, deriving from objective truth which is not sufficient to avert it happening. It seems like the shadow of our thoughts themselves, since we can never really be exact right in history except putting yourself in that period.

Moreover, owing to its dispensable on objective fact, it determines illusion can not exaggerate too much to become hallucination, that's also the discrimination between them. Without the backup fact, illusion is most likely to be lost in desert desperate for dying.

To demonstrate the disadvantages in this point, mainly is it not to rebut but to clarify the reason that we need treat the history justly. With knowing the main functions of history, we can better use it in past, now and future, at the meantime, by useing reasonable analysis, we also can make the illusion to minus level under our limitation. And the illusion existing in our minds sometimes sometimes gave us some inspiration to explore more about history, isn't it?
