issue 167 "It is impossible for an effective political leader to tell the truth all the time. Complete honesty is not a useful virtue for a politician."

Why, you may wonder, does an effective political leader tell the truth all the time impossible. Because complete honesty is not a useful virtue for a politician who must put the nation's benifits in first place. Admittedly, lies all the time can do harm to nation also. So we know, an effective political leader should realize his duty and we allow he lie in some conditions.

No one can deny that the most useful virtue for a politician is putting the benifit of the majority on the first. As we know, economic has a significant effect on the nation and it decides the position which the country has in the world in some aspects. Jonestrone, president and CEO of MAT, a distinguished and well-known company in Massachusetts, illustrates this brilliantly in the following quotes (and I paragraph)," one nation depends on its economic. If the majority of the country can benifit, the country will develop fast and stable. So we know why some leaders' scandals can not influence their positions." For example, Bill Clinton's sexual scandal didn't much influence his reelection.Because his financial achievements show that he can bring the benifit of the majority.

Politicians have to make some lies in some caonditions. To an effective political politician, telling the truth may bring negative effects in many time. Firstly, politicians maybe lie to let the people have the confidence in their leader. For example, if a nation is in a war and in a disadvantage place, the leader and politicians may lie to let their people have the confidence to fight. It is like when we put the fucces on election. Politicians lie to ensure their people have confidence on their leaders in some special conditions. Secondly, to ensure the nation's safety anf benifits, politicians should lie. Because if they say some important things in the nation publicly, it may due to some crimes and will damage the nations safety such as thier thwarting specific plans of an international terrorist or a drug trafficker.

However, politicians should try his best to avodi telling a lie. At first, we can not make sure that the lie is for the benifits of the majority not of individual. At second, if politicians say lies too many, populace will reduce their trust on the goverment. The two aspects all can make a serious effect on the society. If politicians make benifits of individual, they will be punished by law and have bad influence on their nations in the world. Of course, if populace does not trust on the goverment, their society will not be developed quickly and people's daily lives will be in a mass

To sum up, we should acknowlodge that politician is just politician who is not god.so due to the aforementioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any single of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that complete honesty is not a useful virtue for a politician.

If politicians make benifits of individual, they will be punished by law and have bad influence on their nations in the world. Of course, if populace does not trust on the goverment, their society will not be developed quickly and people's daily lives will be in a mass
To sum up, we should acknowlodge that politician is just politician who is not god.so due to the aforementioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any single of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that complete honesty is not a useful virtue for a politician.
