09.1.18It is important for families to eat mealstogether regularly.
From my own perspective, afterdeliberation, I believe I will side with the notion that it is predominant forfamilies to unite regularly for a meal or chatting. It is reasonable in both rationaland sensitive ways. There are several powerful reasons as follows.
The main reason for my propensity for thestatement that family should get together like weekly is that relationshipbetween family is one of the most truthful and valuable relationship in theworld, actually in my world, there is no ‘one of’. I firmly believe that homeis like harbor as we sail in the sea with changeable weathers falling onto us.The regular communication with family forges stronger bonds which enhances oursecurity and courage in our social life.
A more essential factor why I advocate mypoint of view is that relatives, especially parents, are one of few people inthe world who can endure our drawbacks and weakness. It is wide acknowledgedthat people can’t avoid crashing into depression and clinging to dilemmasometimes in life. A regular family meetings offer us chances to talk about ourconfusion and difficulties and we know we will obtain the most genius adviceand help because they are so selfless to us that they will never do harms tous. No matter how defeated we are, they are right there being supportive allthe time.
Similarly, the reasons mentioned above arealso valid when we consider that showing filial obedience to the oldergeneration is our responsibility. For the young, regular family meals conveyour care about our parents. In the city with quick pace nowadays, most peoplewill be easily assessed with work or other things and thus forget about thebeloved at home. Therefore, regular family meals can help people remind thisvaluable relationship, as least reminding us this responsibility.
To sum up, from the thesis discussed abovewe may come to a conclusion that it might be appropriate for all of us to havehappy family reunion as a routine thing.

As is claimed in the lecture, the professormade several points about the new promising energy source, the hydrogen. Theprofessor claimed that the use of this new energy source wouldn’t solve theseproblems the reading mentions in a practical way. The reading passage statesthat hydrogen could be renewable, environmental friendly and release thefinancial burden. The doubt is expressed by the professor as follows.
The first point the professor uses to castdoubt on the reading is that hydrogen is hard to manufacture. In the light ofthe professor, hydrogen exists in the water, though, it takes efforts to separatethem from the water. High technology is demanded which is also essential forthis new energy source. On the contrary, the reading suggests that hydrogen canbe found easily in every possible ways. At this point, the professor completelyrefutes the reading passage.
From another perspective, the reading passagepoints out that hydrogen helps settle the source-lacking problem. The professorargues that though burning hydrogen won’t let out any carbon dioxide, theprocess of producing hydrogen will. In other words, the large manufacturefactory will coin pollution as much as using fuel. That directly controvertswhat the reading passage indicates.
The professor’s last point concerns on thefinal notion of the reading referred to the cost of driving by hydrogen. Theprofessor clams that it is obvious that the cost paid by every consumer willincrease than the fuels. If hydrogen is puts into mass production, theprofessor ensures that the prize of transition will be raised.
In a nutshell, via three points mentionedabove, the professor projects doubt that is opposite to the central standpointof reading. |
