Do you agree or disagree: compared with people who live in urban areas, the people who live in rural areas can take better care of their families.
When speaking of ideal life, people usually paint the picture of a scene analogous with the prosperous downtown area, where have high building and advanced infrastructure, transportation and well-rounded health care system. As a result, many people contend that it is better to settle down in the urban areas for the sake of taking care of their families. However, in my perspective, even though urban areas can bring us with advanced service, living in rural areas is the most judicious choice if we want to attend our families, thus I completely agree with the statement.
Before I defense my opinion that the rural areas is the perfect place for us to live with our families, let me concede that we cannot ignore the advantages of the urban areas. Indeed, unlike urban areas, rural areas have no progressive health-care, pension and social-security system. But if we thoroughly consider these two options, we can also find that there are a lot of problems in the urban areas need to be solved. For example, environmental pollution, which have become the biggest headache of urban areas. Such as Zhujiang River, which located in Guangzhou, have been polluting since 1990. The river abound with various metal, and poisonous waste water. Not to mention the unbearable air pollution, which have been causing a variety of diseases to harm people's life. How can we live happily in such areas with our families? Compared with urban areas, the countryside possess beautiful environment. Three months ago, I came back to hometown with my family, and I surprisingly found that my hometown, Jingzhou, have never changed. The river is still clear and unpolluted, and the air is still fresh and made me feel vigorous. That was the time when I decided to move back to hometown after I graduated from my university, because this place is the ideal area for my family to live. This case perfectly exemplified the merit of living in the rural areas with families when compared with living in the urban areas.
Regardless of the environmental pollution, we should also take into account another serious problem: overpopulation. With the rapid development of modern city, there are an increasing number of people moved to urban area for the sake of getting more opportunity to become rich and successful. Nevertheless, as we know, every coin has two sided. Overpopulation have been cause many serious problem to urban residents. Obviously, more people means serious competition, which would cause severe diseases to people when they desperately struggled in the city, such as cancer, hypertension, even suicide, thus few people has enough time to stay with their families. However, in rural areas, the situation is much different. Rural areas have less population which means less stress and competition. As a result, people can easily and reasonably arrange their working time and can have more time to attend their families.
In conclusion, living in urban areas sound fascinating, but we also cannot underestimate the hazard of it. The environmental pollution and overpopulation have been causing many serious social problems and physical diseases. Compared with living in urban areas, the rural areas with beautiful environment and comfortable working setting, is the optimal place for us to take care of our family. Consequently, I agree with the statement. |
