1) As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

The speaker claims that the abilities of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate as people rely more and more on technology to solve problems. In reality, the abilities of human to think for themselves will never deteriorate, but significantly increase in fields such as daily life, work and scientific innovation etc.

In daily life, even though people could enjoy a more comfortable life with the implement of technology, but it is the help of technology that has grant people more leverage to think for themselves. 现代人们的生活无处不充有科技的成果，如手机、交通工具、甚至衣服及各种日用品，人们对其的依赖也是越来越大，但，正是有了这些科技成果，人们才得以有更多的时间去考虑自己的生活该怎么过，需要哪些东西，比如说跟好友联系一下，或回家看看父母，或陪爱人去滑雪，并且能够很方便很容易的去得到。

In morden work, with the implement of technology, human hands and mind have been emancipated and they would have much more time to think for new ways to improve efficiency and for themselves. 自动化设备、办公软件、机器臂等的使用，让人们在工作岗位上能够有所解脱，能够赢来一些时间来改进设备、软件来提高工作效率，同时，也能够有更多的时间来考虑自己的利益。

In scientific innovation, scientists stand upon the existing technology to put their energy in critical fields to further innovations. 有了超级电脑、超强软件及机器人等的使用，科学家的工作效率更提高了，同时也不用再去做重复的、无聊的计算了，能够集中精力于新的突破，并且，借助于最新的科技，科学上的突破往往都是相对以往要更容易些的，人们思索的能力倍加提升。
