In order to save time, we choose fast food instead of cooking;in order to save time, we travel by the fastest planes,ships,and trains;also in order to save time,we have to accept ready-made clothing rather than making on our own: in order to…people seem always in a hurry. I can not help but wonder why is that? How come people are always pressed by time?
Technology talks. High-technology is like a magic band that makes industralization possible.Progress is the catchword nowadays.However,progress is not derived from the balanced development of human intelligence and nature but from the practical use of knowledge.When the accumulated knowledge fixed with practice properly, inventions are born and progress are naturally followed, ranging from cars to rockets, from television to internet, from family workshop to mass production. Modern industry hinges on a concept of maximum production at lowest cost, therefore, time plays a decisive role in making profit. The more time is put on production, the more products are churned out, the more lower the cost becomes. This phenomenon help explain why people are busier than before.
Another factor results in the fast pace of life is the ever-changing society mainly because of the overwhelming appearance of now technology. Market economy intensify the competition among nations, corporations , and individuals. The severe comptition force people to catch up the speed of the rolling society, which is changing in every split of second in order not to lag behind. Others are moving forward and acquiring new new  skills and knowledges, in this competing environment, who can afford to stand still?
What follows the time pressing situation is the appearance of fast products. Because people have no time for cooking, fast food come into being; Simiarly , on-line shopping is in vogue as people have no time or are not willing to do shopping in the long-line supermarket;  By the same token, ready-made clothes are mass produced as fewer and fewer people have time to make their own clothes. The list could be endless. In short ,manufacturers are thinking hard to find way to help people to save time.
Technology made the industrialization possible, which in turn increased people’s pace of life; while further, fast products hit the market and quite in demand.The conviences are undenible, just as the negative effects are unignorable. People began to forget how to cook, how to make clothes, and no way to enjoy cooking and making clothes any more. More importantly, our traditons are fading away along the dominance of fast culture.
In conclusion, ever-advancing technology and changing society make the whole population more in a hurry, benefits and damages are going hand by hand.However, we cannot stop the rolling society,and we cannot go back to the past, what left is to get used to the changes, while enjoy the benefits and get rid of  the  negative effects, seperating the wheat with the chaff, just like we seperating the meat from the fishbone.
