"The study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. After studying the discipline, we see the same world as before, but with different eyes."

It is a common understanding that education can greatly change the life (or to say destiny) of a person by enabling him to gain access to vast knowledge and thus pursuit higher goals. However, it is also obvious that the study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world as well. After studying some specific disciplines, we are granted the ability to see the same world with different eyes.

As some of us advanced in the fields of science, our concepts and standards of the whole world change unconsciously. We become ever more adapted to the reasoning methods which used frequently in our own disciplines. It is understandable that when we are familiar enough with the approaches in certain fields, we are more likely to apply these rules in daily life. For example, an architect dealing with the blueprints everyday is no doubt immersed by lines, dots and legends, therefore the world in his eyes would be fraught of signs and samples. The public would pay attention to the name and traffic condition of a road while an architect may focus on its length and geographic location. Moreover, as an environmental science student, I went through some osmosis yet discernable transformations too. Before I was matriculated by the university, I cared only about the price of a product, however after 4 years' studying, now my viewpoint changed dramatically. At present, before choosing certain products, I would take many factors into consideration. Except for the price, the manufacturing process must also be checked in the sack of preventing hazards or pollutants. I am also aware that whether the production of some commodities would sacrifice the interest of the nature, or to whether the producers based their income on the destruction and deterioration of the environment. In a word, everyone who studied an academic discipline will be influenced by its ways of thinking to some extent.

Still, those who majored in arts are even more likely to alter their opinions and standards of perceiving the world. Ever learnt about the Impressionists such as Monet and Renoir, the whole perception of the world would be changed. In the eyes of Impressionists, the world is constituted by light and shadow, everything is a mixture of these two elements. As a result, they endeavored to create paintings in the sharp contrast of light and shadow. Thus human beings were introduced into a brand new world of black and white. What's more, the sculptors have extreme keen eyes on the structure of human and animal bodies. Few people would argue that they have no idea about the famous sketchy paintings of Da Vinci. These insightful papers focus mainly on the ratio of each part of the body and their combinations. Da Vinci's designs of helicopter and other brilliant inventions were also wide-known. Thus it is nothing but obvious that while viewing the same world as us, the sculptors' observations differentiate greatly. Same is true about the novelist, the composers, the film makers and many other types of artists. All in all, every one of them pays attention especially to the part of the world which they are interested in and fascinated by.

In summary, the tenable truth is that every fields of discipline have their unique methods and conceptions. Individuals who delve into any disciplines would adapt specific thinking and reasoning patterns willingly or unconsciously. Therefore, in spite of the fact that the world in everyone's eyes will not change even a bit, in everyone's eyes, the images of the world tend to be kaleidoscopic.

分领域论述,而且都很标准的论述,不过我觉得是不是该写点反面,全文是一边倒的。
