While some amusing films contribute a lot to people nowadays who usually live at a fast-paced rate to relax themselves, serious movies can make people think the essential meaning of lives as well as touch the right chord of our spirits. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to choose serious movies to kill my leisure time, to learn about life truth, to rethink my own lifestyle, and to improve the ability to appreciate arts.

To begin with, there are many other better types of entertainment for me rather than watching films. For instance, I would like to go mountain climbing with some friends in fair days to enjoy the beauty of nature; I would like to spend half a day on shopping when I am alone; in summer, I prefer to do some sports such as swimming; in winter, I will read some attracting books at home for a rest. As there are various ways to amuse myself, I do not adhere to the rule that the most function of films is entertaining people.

In addition, why I prefer to see serious movies is that these movies can always make me think the deepest essence of life, as well as rethink my own life style, and both of these are of great importance for my growing and development. Take some my favorite films for example,”A Beautiful Mind” not only shows me the difficult of doing research but also let me know the crucial role the dedication plays in both work and life; It is through “Dancer In the Dark” that exposes me the immigrants’ tough lives and the selflessness of mother; and “life is beautiful” shows me vividly the cruelty of Nazi and importance of hope. In brief, the more serious films I watch, the more I acquire.

Besides, it is serious movies that leave me deeper impression and touch the bottom of my heart whenever I recall them. To contrast, those amusing films which just make me laugh or be scared can never leave me valuable impressions. As time goes by, only serious movies make great contribution to the shape of my philosophy.

In conclusion, I prefer serious movies to amusing ones as serious movies not only help me kill time but also play a unique role in my development.

新加坡一年硕可以当读博跳板吗

EE选校，北美VS欧陆

南加大担心预算不够，仅百万预算。不太清楚南加大的MS EE要多少钱，了解的uu麻烦评论区讲讲。目标：润＞读博＞回国找工 VLSI集成电路那边接触较少，可能跨度会比较大。据说USC人多？师生比不太好？

佐治亚理工深圳学院 ece vs 南洋理工

Pros: NTU是从小到大的梦校，毕业有机会留坡，费用40-50w，国内名气较大; GTSI课程可以选纯软，和读cs差不多了，在深圳方便找实习，行业内名气比NTU大，第二年可以交换到本部，毕业可拿opt和留服认证，费用:不交换20w，交换50-60w，低成本拿下美硕。 Cons: NTU是一年水硕，虽然我已经有一些实习和科研，但还是担心不好找工作。 GTSI是中外合办，未来情况不明朗，目前只有授课硕士，如果未来开设本科，并招收博士，国内认可度应该会和上纽差不多，甚至更好。行业外知名度不够高。目标行业：首选未来进大厂/外企，次选去银行，运营商，国企。目标岗位:开发（开发经验目前为0，只懂一点算法和产品）
