ISSUE235我的第一篇
TOPIC: ISSUE235 - "Most people are taught that loyalty is a virtue. But loyalty-whether to one's friends, to one's school or place of employment, or to any institution-is all too often a destructive rather than a positive force."
WORDS: 558
TIME: 0:45:00
DATE: 2009-8-5

When we are young, our parents would tell us that to be a good guy you must be royal to your institution. Also, the T.V. shows instil the conception that anyone being not royal to his institution would receive a punishment. However, sometimes in our life we often find that royalty can be destructive, no matter to our friends, schools or company. So, should we stick to royalty or adjust to the society and make our chioce on case-by-case basis? I think we should put royalty at a very important place, but also, we need to make our own choices according to different situations.
Royalty is very important to we human beings. As a individual in the society, each of us are in a certain institution, which means a lot to us. For example, when we are young, we would make self instuction by telling others in which school and class we are to identify ourselves. When we get a job, we would share this information with our friends and family by telling in which company or institution we work. Even if we are out of job, we would find a comitty to which we belong. In this case, by identifying ourselves with others, the institution means a lot to us. Thus we are responsible to our institution in a moral view. Betraying one's institution would be considered equally injustifiable as betrayed one's family.
Besides the moral issue, friendship is another reason why we should be royal to our institution. It is often the case that most of our friends are our workmates. After work our friends would have fun together. If one can not be royal to the institution he is in, then he will lose many friends. For example, if a man quits from a company and joined another, it is likely that his former friends will contact with him less. Though he can make new friends in the new company, it is much harder to get real friends. It becomes more obvious when one sells his institution out. If someone disclosed the secret information of his institution for his own benifits and thus hurt the institution or his workmates, his friends in the same institution will never forgive him.
On the other hand, royalty does not actually means we need to work in a company forever.
If we do not consider the situation and stick to royalty blindly, the results might be destructive to us. Imagine this, you are a excellent engineer in a small company, a company too small that do not fit you. If you stick to the royalty and stay in this company, not only will you feel unfair for your talent, the company may also be wasting money on you for the simper works which more ordinary emplyees with lower salaries can handle. In this case it would be better for you to jump into a much more advanced company. It also happens when you have to work very late and can not be together with you family. In this case royalty to you company means less care for you family, which can be very bad for your wife and children.

So as disscussed above, royalty is very important to us, however, I think that after locating royalty in a very important place, we should make our choices depending the certain environment.

开头段是不是可以说一下royalty 其实并不是all too often a destructive force,然后从这个引到 we should put it into different cases 中呢?我总觉得题目中这里也是一个点。
