Well-presented but failed to be reasoned, the editorial claims that the sales of Whirlwind video games are likely to in crease dramatically in the next few months according to a survey comes to groundless.

Firstly, the reason why the sales of Whirlwind video games have declined is unstated in the editorial, therefore, there is no certain cause-and-effect relationship between the preference of players and the incline of sales of the Whirlwind video games, perhaps the decline of sales over the past two years only atrributes to the inefficient management or strong rivals have conquered  most parts of the market, even the lack of creation or complexity in the product to attract the objective customers could be a major reason. If so, even the survey is credible, and the customers prefer games that Whirlwind has just introduced, the sales trend is still not likely to increase dramatically, or even is impossible to be reversed. Furthermore, the survey's sample, volume and methodology might be problematic, that is the result of that is doubtful.

Second, even if  the players prefer games that provide lifelike graphics, the fact is lifelike graphics require the most up-to-date computers, but only a few customers have the condition to run it and to update computers are expensive, let alone about the products' objective is people 10 to25 years old whose purchase power is comparelly low.  It can be easily seen that the sales will not increase dramatically, or just slightly of this kind of product, and furthermore, whether so-called extensive advertising campaign can lead to considerable influence and the rivals' advertising is better or not is still crucial to sales in future.

To sum up, the conclusion is not persuasive based on the editorial's statement, to make it logically acceptable, the editorial would have to demonstrate all of factors that influence the increase of the sales, additionally, to give more credible ways to support its statement.
