It is generalized proposed that the arts such as painting , music, literature, and so on reflect some hidden ideas,impulses of a society. It is said great minds think alike, I am inclined to agree with the arguer that the arts are sure to reveal otherwise minds and thinking of a society for the following reasons.
First and formost,Some extremely thinking and minds as hidden ideas and impulses could rather expressed by arts, rather than speaking. With the development of our society, assorted ideas and notions spring out everywhere, however, a large of them could not assimilated or absorbed by the masses of people right now, on the contrary the artists apply the great minds to the miraculous arts or works.The most impressive instance is Picasso pioneered the schooling of imagination in paintings, the critique did not perceived them as the classic works in this realm until now, generally our descendants awared the high value of these pieces.It was no doubt that the works beared relation with the character of the painter as well as the landscape of the society that he lived. Through it we know about the custom,the tradition of that epoch.
The second reason could be explained as the hidden ideas and impulses
that transmitted by arts could be kept as historical stuff that could be perceived as precious spiritual treasure. The arts are among the most enduringly resources that could be preserved and transmitted from generation to generation, it is desirable that the offsprings can studying the social stratums ,custom, moral stadards, and law of a society from them. For instance, when it is in need to studying the Song dysnasty ,we can find hints from the antique.Nevertheless, a investigation issued by a authority indicated that the progress of find the antiques and the preservation of them was a project that cost so high,so other researchers refer to the classic literatures in that dynasty ,for example a famous poem called The Whole River Red,write by YueFei were cited.Above all ,we could extremely influenced by the passion of the wirter --- remmebered as a admirable militery leader, futhermore the sentences and words describe a historic event in Song dynasty, we could informed some details of this famous event, we also know the society,the folk, the militery ,the guideline of the government at that time,which will help to reveal the truth of historic facts and to evaluate the public people.
Admittedly, not the entire works reveal the hidden ideas and impulses, since some literatures or music are products of feelings or just reflect the nature.It is common and undeniable that the arts are alwayse the mirror of society.
Thus, we could know about the supportion or the hatred of the author from their works,similarly,it is acceptable and credible that the genuine conditon of a society could be illustrated through their works.Only close scrutiny were paid to the work could we catch the nature.
