57) The main benefit of the study of history is to dispel the illusion that people living now are significantly different from people who lived in earlier times.

66) People who are the most deeply committed to an idea or policy are also the most critical of it.

写作要求都是
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

求思路，求指点，一点儿思路都没有啊。另外感觉66题如果分领域讨论（比如文学、科学、军事、经济这种），其实很扯，个人感觉（可能很不对~）这么做其实就是实在没得写偷懒。

57）
1. admittedly，历史和现在是有相同的地方的，比如对爱情的追求，还有战争
2. nonetheless，历史毕竟是历史，现代人们的生活跟以前比已大不相同，比如各种先进的生活辅助工具（电话，汽车，电脑），这些是古人没有的
3. and，study history最大的benefit是学习古人的优点与吸取经验，而不是什么dispel illusion

66）
1. 越爱它就会越了解它，会发现它的缺点与不足，就会越critical
2. 那些不热衷于这些idea的人，他们不会管这idea有多好有多坏，有种事不关己高高挂起的感觉。所以只有committed人才可能会critical
3. but，也要注意，有的时候过于committed反而会变得盲目，只会看到这个idea的优点，看不到缺点

以上仅仅是个人回忆的较残缺的提纲，希望能帮你打开思路
