跟老公都是NTU的学生，想申请GH1的double room（with spouse），想问下这种房间跟一般的double有什么区别吗？

I suggest you write email to ask International student office, so far I never heard people applied this double room with spouse.

PS: normal double room -- two single beds, other facilities are the same as single room except that the room is bigger than single room

Couples usually apply for the spouse room in GH2, right?

Yes, you can apply since they have this option.
