CS PhD Student Openings at Michigan Tech. University (Spring'18 and Fall'18)

The successful candidates are expected to do research work in computer systems, including architecture, operating systems, and system designs and optimizations for data analytics. More specifically, the potential research projects are: computer architecture and operating systems optimizations for the emerging non-volatile memory, heterogeneous computing, system designs for data analytics. Positions are fully supported, including tuition, monthly stipend and summer pay.

The ideal candidates are expected to have:
1. Highly self-motivated
2. Major in CS, CE or EE
3. Strong problem analysis and solving ability
4. Solid background on the computer system
5. Strong C/C++ programming skills
6. System related research/project experience is a plus.
