I think you mean the serologist. That is what we usually call people who test blood serum here. As far as I know, those people are prettly like technicians rather than real physicians. An medical technologist is very easy to find a job. But the certification is not easy to get because a lot of schools ask you to be educated in their school. If not,you will not have the chance to register for the certification test, just as a nurse. No one can register for the certification test without his school's document. I am sure about it because I have friends as a student in the department of medical technology.

it is almost impossible for you to be eligble for the certification examination in US after your graduation. you need to pursue a bechlor degree in US. someone told me that you also will be able to become a technologist if you get the PH.D.
