poly有1/4的中国学生，poly的EE在poly占1/3比率？poly-MS一年的总费用32000美圆，学费30学分X1000=每年15000美圆（据说每年学费现在涨到了18000美圆）。poly-EE-MS给学费补助3500-8000美圆一年，算它平均补助5000，EE-MS两年20000美圆学费必须支付。假如poly有4000学生，其中新生1000，就有250中国人，EE占poly1/3，这样系里补贴学费后还能够赚80多万美圆。1000个poly的新学生在纽约每年又可增加了起码1000-1500万美圆的消费。

IIT同样补贴中国学生学费6543美圆，补助的比例比poly要大，但是中国学生对IIT的口碑仍然不佳。

原因在哪里，看来IIT缺乏的就是像Prof Chen这样的中国教授在同中国学生沟通。希望Prof Chen能够把握好这样的机会，对中国学生被您提起的对poly期盼的心情要同Prof chao这位台湾教授好好珍惜，中国有句古话：滴水之恩，涌泉相报。中国学生不是跪着去向poly乞讨美圆的，而是中国目前还不是像官方所说的那样“小康”。中国绝大部分的老百姓还是处在温饱状态，有的温饱还没有实现呢。中国有抱负的学生就是要通过Prof Chen这样有中国情怀的中国人，实现抱负，振兴中华。

希望Prof Chen能够成为今年gter最受中国学生欢迎的美国大学的中国教授，我们期待着。

A friend told that, in New York City, as a student, the living expense runs from $500-$1000/month. Therefore, $600/month is true. Of course, it is lower than average Americans. In New York City, it is easy to 打工. There are more than 6000 中餐馆. In the summer, a student can make $8000 by delivering Chinese food or doing other works.  In regular semesters, on the weekend, a student can make about $120/day. I was told about that. You may use it as reference. I am ready to 打工 to make my tuition and living expenses. I am 24 years old already. I don't want to spend too much money from my parents.
From many books we know that a student can support himself in USA, especially in NY. That is why I selected a NY school.

thank you for your reply? Another, LZ btbuboy have give a probable cost per year  before, which is 995×15＋600×12＝22125美元.  600 is the living expense per month. Is it indeed enough in poly per year?  Thank you !
