Issue7 “The video camera provides such an accurate and convincing record of contemporary life that it has become a more important form of documentation than written records."

提纲:

视频文件的出现极大地方便了人们的生活,但它有优点但也难免存在自身的不足之处,在我看来,它可以作为一种高效的记录方式,但并不能完全取代书面记录

1.书面记录简单方便,只需要纸笔即可,而视频文件需要摄像机,并不是每个人都有摄像机的.

2.有些文件必须用书面文件记录,可以写出人的内心世界,而视频文件只能记录表象,而且不够精简
例:历史

3.但视频文件也有其不可取代的优点 如信息海量,易于保存

4.除了这两种记录方式外,还有其他多种记录方式诸如:声音,图片等,我们不应只把目光聚集在这两种上(本来想写的,但是不知道这个小扩展合不合适,就没放上来…)

In sum, 两种记录方式各有其优点,视频记录方便了人们但并不能代替文字记录

With the rapid development of science and technology, the ways we record documents have changed also. The invention of video camera enables us to record things faster and more accurate. Despite the many contributions it has made in recording documents, there are still some shortcomings. In my opinion, written records, the traditional way we log things, have its irreplaceable place.


It is convenient and easy to make a written record. Only a pen and a piece of paper are needed. But video camera, as a new invention in recent years, has not yet reached a widespread extent. Recording things by video camera is not possible for everyone these days. Even if all of us are able to log our life by video camera, a video player is needed when we are going to read the records, which is another problem we must solve if we replace paper for camera. When we need to note a telephone number temporarily, written records may be the best choice. Image the scene that you hold a video camera just for noting a telephone number. Each time you need to read it, you have to open your computer and find the file then play it. This assumptive scene, of course, is absurd and what if the number is read by another person through a telephone? Accordingly, when we pay our attention to the virtues of video camera, the limitations of its function should not be neglected. Our traditional way of recording things by pen and paper has its own advantages and can not be replaced in the foreseeable future.


In addition, written records can write down something that can not be memorized by camera such as the inward world of human, the summary of a period of time, etc. Take our history books as the example. History book is the concentration of a period of time and contains the annotation about it as well. No matter how advanced the camera is, it is impossible to record the emotion of human and make its comment. We may say that written records is not only the records of our contemporary life but also the annals of human thinking.  Even if we can record our thought in the video, we have to make a long-term video for something we could have recorded it by only one or two sentences, because camera do not possess the character of simplifying something into a short article. The overmuch information which was recorded by camera slower our search efficiency and then reduce the value of itself at the same time.


Despite above disadvantages, video records also have its irreplaceable virtue in some aspects. 'Hold Forever' is one of its great advantages. Preserve of written records can not be easily for water, fire and other factors may lead documents loss, which is also the cause for a lot of valuable historical material can not be handed down. Video is easy to copy and permanent preservation ensures the integrity of data. What's more, in some special occasions, camera plays a significant role. Such as in banks, monitoring system is necessary. Every day lots of people access to banking and it is a huge workload if we record everyone's detail information by writing. And most of the records will never be used for bank robbery, after all, it is one of the few.


In sum, both written records and video records have its own irreplaceable merit and one can not replace another one. As I see it, what we are expected to pay attention to is how to choose the most convenient one rather than thinking whether written records should be allowed to be substituted by video.

总体不错，但结构可以优化一下。你前面的第2、3段每段都有写written record的优点和video的缺点，后面又突然来单写video的优点，感觉结构不够对称。干脆每段都写二者的对比，或者先专门写其中一个的优缺点，但后写另一个的优缺点，这样会不会好点~我的建议哦~不知道好不好~

原文是说more important没有说是替代与否吧?不大确定…   重看了遍题目,是我理解错了...  看来有一个大工程需要改了

when(while对比一下 ok不?)   这个我觉得挺好不过不知道语法上行不行得通, 如果用作时间状语的话while只能引导持续性动词.如果把while做连词表对比的话句子又好像缺东西...提议很好喔再斟酌下怎么改.

恩,我在文章里应该提一下把资料存在磁盘或者磁带里能够做到永久保存(前两天新学的,嘿嘿),这样才有说服力,光那样写诗不行的,多谢提出啊~

'issue应该每段应该只围绕一个中心论证，比如说倒数第二段，what’s more的观点要不就在第一句top sentence带出来一小下，然后再论证，要不就再起一段。'这句我很赞同~我去整理一下思路再改改.O(∩_∩)O~
