I agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that in the age of television, reading books is not as important as it once was. However, the speaker unnecessarily extends this assertion to that people can learn as much by watching television as they can by reading books. My opinion over this issue is: despite that reading books becoming less important, watching television cannot replace reading books as a way of learning. The content of my points are discussed below.
I concede that watching television really have some positive effects on learning. Since the TV came to the world, it brought both sounds and live pictures. Through television programs, such as English-learning programs, we can not only learn how to spell words or writing sentences but also can learn how to pronounce and how to communicate with foreigners by talking. It is more concrete(从上面的论述没有看出来) than learn from books in this case. Moreover, the lively and full of pleasure’s programs can easily attract children’s attention and encourage them learning by following those programs. Some educational programs, especially, educational programs(什么意思) can really do well to our study. In some aspects, watching TV is a better way of learning than reading books, like learning foreign languages, and getting news knowledge.(怎么BETTER 拉没有论证清楚)
Yet, watching television is also having disadvantages as a way of learning. Programs can do harm to people as well as good, especially to children. Television may serve better as a mean of entertainment than education, for the most common use of television is as a source of information and entertainment for viewers in their home. In addition, the sounds and pictures from the program may attract children on them rather than the knowledge it teaches. And, many programs which add games and pleasure in them to attract attention always make children in favor of the games rather than learning. (感觉这两句一个意思)So, television programs cannot teach people effectively especially for children. Moreover, bad programs(哪些?) can not only teach children knowledge effectively but can also teach them bad thing like taking drugs, fighting, and so on, because there have not any effective measure to prohibit children from bad programs. And the negative effects on children from those bad programs are not less than the negative effects from chaotic internets which is the hot topic recently.
Therefore, when discuss the learning way, we cannot only focus on how much we learned but also on the quality of the knowledge we learned. Watching television cannot give us effective way to learn high quality of knowledge.
Compared with watching television, reading books is a better way to learn. First of all, although the television program can show us sounds and pictures, they cannot display all aspects and quintessence of the book. For instance, the TV series or TV plays cannot equal the original.(其实你想说原著和改编作品吧?没有表达清楚) And, moreover, although the television program is better when we mention language learning, they cannot show us beautiful sentences and whole merit of the original work for most of the program maker must consider the profits. Second, books can be taken to everywhere that cause reading to be the most important and frequent way of learning. No one can make sure that television exists everywhere let alone the educational programs. Third, because of the too strong radiation from television, we cannot watch TV too long in order to protect our eyes. This is limiting the time of watching TV.
In sum, the speaker's assertion that people can learn as much by watching television as they can by reading books is questionable and I do not agree at this time. When the scientific can make sure of the quality of the programs and equate the effect of the two ways, the speaker's point can be agreed in some extends. Moreover, according to my own opinion, as the rapid improvement of the scientific, watching television can learn equally as reading books will occur some time
开头和结尾A的痕迹严重,我不是很赞同的说
论述的比较散,觉得论证和例子层次不是很分明,这类题目着重对两者比较 可以分成几点来说,不要 搅在一起,
刚开始写是这样的 不要灰心 加油 |
