95, People work more productively in terms than individually. Teamwork requires cooperation, which motivates people much more than individual competition does.

The debate that whether individual competition is more efficient than  teamwork will ended in a tie, for they each have their exclusive advantages. According to this point, I assert that these two aspects proportion the weight in contribution to a work.

On the one hand, in some circumstance in which the attribute of the work is general acknowledged and people has some commons in this project, teamwork is superior to working alone. When each unit accomplishes a bit, the effort get together will come out to be a huge work. For example, once some scientists suspect that the pyramids may be not build by human but some high evolved creatures. However, in fact, the research finally reports that it is a masterpiece of human cooperation. The question how could they get the large rock and range they in such a fabulous way will be explained that some of them fetch the earth while others burn the earth into the huge rock, at last another group cooperated move them by simple mechanism such as levers and pulley. In all the processes, no one could afford such labor alone, for the tools are simple and the individual wisdom is thin and weak. Today, at the first glance, it is hard to believe the achievement was created based on the temporary technology. This old idea also works nowadays in many other realms: in the exploitation of a software, every engineer devise a part, after putting together, the product come into being; in the running of a company, all the department manager will support each other to operate; in the scientific research, the experts of different major provides the certain amount of knowledge and the association will make the program advance.

On the other hand, in the field of art, which require more individuation, work alone will outweigh co work. Art needs more characteristic factors and the combination of other people will lead to a lower value. For instance, The Dream of Red Chamber, one of the four famous masterpieces in Chinese classic literatures, is originally written by ChaoXueQin and after the author's death, later another writers Gao E complete the remaining of this book. The comment of this book fails lower because of the twice produced process. Nearly all the art pieces are accomplished by only one person and the idea will be more original and constant in this way.

On balance, in the general condition, people lay emphasis on the both aspects. Individual competition supervises person to exceed and prevent person from accidie. The fear of falling behind others will rouse the utmost instinct and urge people to go ahead. On the contrary, teamwork put each of the advantages from a unit together and gives birth to a large effort. Some times cooperation will decrypts as a "1 add 1 equal 3"effect because when different forces meet, the interaction expand larger in some extent. The most wise and proper approach is to combine these two element together and produce a more efficient and effective work pattern. For instance, in a football team, ballplayers will cooperate to beat the adversary, in this case, one may say, cooperate will be more crucial than the competition. After taking a closer scrutiny, one may find the players are always struggling to show their own exhibition. Also, there are another Best Player prize to award this endeavor and it honors player as much as the team winner prize. This action is fixed to encourage individual competition and make sure the every unit will do their utmost. Meanwhile, another evaluating system is set up in almost every company to appraise individual outstanding achievement. Besides the team work, personal effort is equally important in an enterprise.

In sum, teamwork combines little individual forces together to turn into a stronger power and individual competition ensures everyone in the team to unearth their instinct and ceaselessly surpass and break through. The utilization of the two factors motivates person's passion to work productively.
