Human is the only animal that could use knowledge which is generations of accumulation about understanding the world. Whether use mainstream or non-mainstream subjects, human's objective is to explain the things and phenomena on the earth. Non-mainstream can meet some people's need to know some unexplained things, nevertheless, it can not "play a vital role in society". The leading actor in the stage of the world is, and always is, science.

It is usually a lack of scientific knowledge to understand certain phenomena that leads to the invention of nonmainstream areas of inquiry. In ancient times, when science was undeveloped, people could not explain why there are birth, oldness, ailment and death, so people created some theories to cram those vacancies. Why human exist in the world? Because Adam and Eve broke the rule. Where will a person go after he/she died? Nice person will go to the heaven and evil ones will go to the hell. As these theories cumulated, religions came to the earth. Then religions produced more and more theories as they become larger and greater.  A careful examination reveals that those theories are the product of collision between human's strong desire for a sense of certainty to know about the world, and an unfortunately ignorance.

Until now, there are so many things and phenomena that science can not give any explanation. So people try to go into astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits to find causes out. For instance, luck is the most commonplace thing but still can not be unpuzzled by science. Why is Tom won a prize of a great amount of money yesterday while Jack broke his leg in a traffic accident today? Who can tell the reason? Fortune-teller, some people may think. In addition, their own constellation may contribute to their luck, some other people believed. On the contrary, no one will go to see the fortune-teller when suffered from illness for the reason that there are hospitals, where doctors can cure your disease by medical treatment. Therefore, people just depend on those non-mainstream subjects when science can not help.

However, we can not use non-scientific knowledge to interpret everything. Why those non-mainstream areas are minor while science is dominant? Because there is no evidence that they are true in our history, exactly, in science. Science is proved to be the truth by the history, history of centuries. We have used science to explain most of phenomena we saw and solve many problems we met. People found a right way to understand and explore the world, it is, science.

In sum, non-mainstream may be important to some people, but to the all human race, the mainstream subject, science, is the most significant. The non-mainstream areas will decline gradually as the science developed. I have no idea if they will extinct or not, but I am sure, they will become a tiny area in the modern society, just like a figurant in a movie.

晕，刚才打完了评价一发表既然说目标网页找不到。。又打多一次。。
文章分3部分
1 mainstream science的产
2 mainstream science在今天的发展
3 反驳， 科学更重要。觉得这部分太轻了些。应该写得细一些。不然前面说了那么多mainstream science的各方面的特点，这里想反驳实在句子也太少了吧？可以想长些，顺便凑字数。。

前面的luck 除了上面同学说的feat外，我还想到destiny ，可以参考下。
用词很不错啊。都很深，我很多想不到。
