Scandals, always possessespossess the features of unexpected, astonished, and alarming, can reveal some facts behind and bring a totally shock to our cogitation, while the speaker or reformer can only sway us with their ornate words rather than facts. So, when people are exposed to scandals, they are likely to have stronger shacking because personal opinions are asked to give on bare facts是否存在故意编造的 丑闻呢?:confused:. However, too much attention on pursuing for scandals can never be a good thing.

If the scandals, which are hided on purpose so as to mislead the public, are useful to help us to recognize the truth. Take the case of Enron in point, the fraudulent accounting techniques of Enron and Anderson may be the most sever scandal on financial area of America. The loss measure by the unit of billions of dollars and unprecedented credibility crisis are due a great lot to concealed information to the public. If the financial problems can be reported to the mass, such huge loss and following financial depression can be prevented. But the speaker of Enron and relative apartment only try their best to cover it.

To some extent, the scandals about Public figure's private life will only satisfy our curiosity, we should not deny his or her talents or contributions on his career, which would need our attention more. What we asked for is good politicians, intelligent academicians, or excellent leaders in other areas, but not perfect moral models.

Moreover, too much concentration on scandals will even be harmful. With the development of new information and communication technologies, the ability of the state and private sectors to collect, record, and "mine" personal scandals has grown exponentially.  Many medias pursue such scandals too much to fill the needs of the general mass but neglect more important events about our daily life by shifting people's attention. Nowadays, the scandals about artists, sports players, politicians constitute a great large part of the headline news, on the contrary, speaks and reform scheme about international events, teenagers crime, drug abuse and unemployment seemsseem in a inferior places. But which of them affects us more? People are misled by the public mediamedias to pay too much attention on those minor details about other people’s personal life. In addition, the medias always try to mine some scandals, which may not exist, by fanatic methods and then tragedies are inevitable. The England Rose Diana's is a kind of victim of the imperial scandal.

In conclusion, scandals could tell us facts which are concealed by speakers and reformers, but it also gain too much social attention to leave adequate emphasis on more important events.
