May 01,2007 Retail products may suffer guilt by association
lard, maliens dibirds(不知道是啥), kitty litter, cigarettes, family napkins, trash bags, new researches show that consumers may react to these products with visarel disgust which they may transfer the usually desirable products like cookies if the two products touch each other on the store shelves even in the shopping cars.

As according to a  studying may Issue a general marketing research(没听出来)

for example, studying subjects were less likely to accept the offered cookie even an hour after they saw the a package of cookies touching a box of sanitary napkins, the researchers point out the behavior may have a sounding central basis that we probably naturally avoid foods that we think may contact with germs or something else ~~~.

transparent roper highten (不清楚)the associated effect participant to saw rice cakes in clear robin touching a jar of lard estimated the cakes have more fatten than the cakes of pick packaging.(整句都没听太清-_-!)

At the bottom of line, manufacturers might pay close attention to packaging and retail shelves position.

以后也希望自己能每天坚持。第一次听,已经很努力在听了,还是很多死活听不清。都不好意思发上来:(

今天的作业:),对照大家的修订过了。还是错很多,竟然把关键词rating全部听成了reading,晕~明天继续听!
If you like on-line shopping and you love good scam, then we found a contest for you. scientists of  university  are offering a thousand dollars to a person or persons who can most wildly manipulate a set of on-line readings(ratings). many webs(websites) encourage consumers to read(rate the items they’ve)  purchased. shoppers then use this information to help (them) decide what to buy. unfortunately, such systems are easy pray(prey) for shows looking to make certain products seem more attractive. for example, an unscrupulous author could get all of his family and friends to give his books five stars.  researchers (have whipped up an algorithm)   for identifying such fragile(fraudulent )readings(ratings). Another(and now they are) putting their program to the test which( is where) the contest concerns. to participate, go to www.eatanlab.com slash reading(rating) and download the daily set(data set). then start manipulating, the individual who introduce the largest bias will take home the prize and will show the scientists how they can make the frustrating(fraud busting) program even better. it is fun for the whole family. i give four thumbs up(ah what the hack, eight thumbs up.)

silkworms make silk. that much new. but did you know these industrious little caterpillars can spin so kinds of different colors, white, yellow, pink, even green.  silkworms get the pigment to color the gossamer product from mulberry leaves, the only food they eat. they then use  so to make themselves some seriously confic? cocoons. some mutant silkworms can only make white cocoons.these monochromatic  characters   have mutation gene called w? which dance for yellow board? they do not absorb the yellow color  co? of mulberry leaves. this  so the  colorless ?and cocoons are white. this week    japan ? said the w gene produce  protein that grabs onto ? this protein allows cells  extract yellow pigment  from mulberry leaves. but providing mutant silkworms   would be a good copy of w gene. the scientists were able to restore the ability of making yellow cocoons. such  genetic manipunitions may someday a researcher to engineer  silkworms to make   custom-colored silk. ?
