Does how children are socialized determine the destiny of society and we nowadays have few great ideas about how to raise children who can help bring about a better society, as the statement suggests? Admittedly, the children nowadays are not well socialized which will exert an undesirable influence on the future of society. However, I fundamentally disagree with statement because it overstates the importance of children’s socialization and neglect the circumstance nowadays.
First and foremost, there is no denying the fact that children’s socialization is crucial and necessary for the children’s development. To demonstrate the importance of socializing children, it is vital to give a definition to socialization. The term "socialization" is used by sociologists  and educationalists to refer to the process of inheriting norms, customs and ideologies. It may provide the individual with the skills and habits necessary for participating within their own society. In this sense, children’s socialization can determine society more or less. Owing to that children stand for the future, in order to establish a safe, orderly, predictable, organized society, we should educate children to be socialized. By being acquired to apologize when making mistakes, children learn the true meaning of obligation. By exchanging the toys and candies, children learn what is real sharing. By playing sports, children understand that competition is the way to become stronger. Which learned through socialization can help children make more contributions to the society, thereby determine the future of society. On the contrary, if some children can not be well socialized .he/she will be unsociable and eccentric，reluctant to share with others. It is most likely that the children will turn out to be antisocial finally who may be a tackling factor to society.
Despite the merits of the statement, however, I disagree with the statement because it seems to imply two claims: (1) Socialization of children is the sole or even primary factor determining the future of society. (2) Nowadays, we haven’t found an effective way to socialize the children well.
Considering the author’s first claim, he/she may fail to see that besides socialization, there are also other features determine the destiny of society. First, knowledge play an important role in determining the destiny of society. Justice of law, health of social psychology, scientific development strategies and so forth, are all vital and essential to influence the future of society. Secondly, leader’s ability also determined the destiny of society. For example, Lincoln emancipate slave determine U.S. democratic and free. Therefore, in addition to socialization, there are other factors determine the destiny of society. Furthermore，excessively emphasizing socialization， will make children are not naïve become sophisticated instead.
Considering the author’s next claim，as for the assertion that we failed to learn how to raise children to bring about a better society, In my observation, we can find examples in history to prove is incomprehensive. As a matter of fact, our society advances and thrives in the race to the achievement of a better society since our youth nowadays are immerging themselves in efforts to cooperate with each other to create a better society.
Consequently, if we haven’t found effective approaches to raise children for the future of society, how could we enjoy the fruits of a better society at the present time?
From analysis made above, I concede that children’s socialization plays a vital and essential role in the development of society. However, it is neither the only factor nor the most important one which can determine the destiny of our society. Aside from this, as a matter of fact, we have already learned how to raise children to boost the development of the society, upon which we human beings depended to advance and thrive in the race to achieve a better society nowadays.
