Not long ago, there was a survey on a government forum asking people, on which social problem government should invest more money, improving access to the Internet or public transportation. Some people who hold a view that a better public transportation could reduce the probability of traffic jams will vote for improving public transportation. However, I believe government should invest more money on improving access to the Internet, when a more efficient life way and some more available resources are taken into account.

The most remarkable advantage resulting from improving access to the Internet is more efficient life style. It is not extraordinary when someone see the phenomenon that a crowd of people stand in business department to pay for their bills, such as telephone, water and electricity. In this course, undoubtedly, it wastes too much time and effort to accomplish such little things. In the well-developed city, which the access to the Internet is prevalent, however, people could do all these things with the help of the Internet even without stepping out their rooms. Moreover, people also could do some shopping on the Internet. This efficient life way which results from access to the Internet is a goal, which the government always strives to guarantee for the presidents.

Another persuasive merit that access to the Internet brings about is more available resources. As more and more various resources appeared on more and more websites, it become clear that the people could find almost everything they want throughout the world. Improving access to the Internet could make the resources immediately accessible. Thus, people could find kinds of resources, such as videos, music and passages, to satisfy their demands. For example, people who have not attended colleges before could join a remote education to learn some interesting courses of colleges on the Internet.

On the other hand, enhancing public transportation also has its advantageous facet. A developed public transport system may make people abandon their cars, which is the main agent of severe traffic jams. Consequently, people could spend less time on the road and relatively more time on other things, such as working or doing exercise.

Although there may some strengths result from enhancing public transportation, I strongly feel that improving access to the Internet will lead to much more obvious merits. With accessible to the Internet, people could live in a more efficient way and acquire various resources, which may the main reasons for those who vote for this idea.

A social forum once conducted a survey which was asking people to vote for the way people making decisions. The minority who hold a view that making decisions totally by themselves is the representation of individuality will vote for making decisions by themselves. However, I believe most people will vote for preferring other people's decoctions, when avoiding making wrong decisions and asking for a reliable decisions taken into account.

The most persuasive factor that people follow others' decoctions is avoiding making wrong decisions by greatest possibility when they stand at the crossroad. As we all know, the selection, which confused enough to drives people crazy sometimes, contain various large information, which may make a major contribution to the final determination. There is no denying the face that people could not always manage all these information related to the selection because they are influenced by their own emotion, attitude and character. However, other people who have no relation to these issues could have an overall and clear view of the problem than the people involved. That is to say, they could make a relatively impersonal decision. So, that is why most people turn to others for help when they confront the selections.

Another influential reason is that having other professional people make decisions could make the choice more reliable. For example, parents who wishes their little children to have a better education in the next several years will definitely consult the instructors, asking some curious questions about when is the best time for them to have education or which type of education should they have during different ages. The instructor could make a more wise decision for the confusing parents with his or her specialized knowledge, which he or she may spend several years on. So, it is a more reliable decision, undoubtedly, made by those people with expertise.

However, I should admit that making decision all by themselves could represent their own individualities, such as independence of thought and action. They indeed have enough courage to follow their heart and intuition. Whereas, their limited experience and expertise may make things worse, which is not the consequence they initially expect.

In a nutshell, after carefully consideration and comparison between the two alternatives, I strongly feel that following other people’s decision will satisfy the demand of most people. As briefly discussed above, having other people make decisions could avoid making a wrong decision and even bring a more reliable one, for which are the main reason the most people vote for this idea.
