The speaker tend to assert that, the art reveal the hidden ideas and impulses of society. In certain extent, art indeed express some nonmainstream value implicitly which is seldom accepted by most of the contemporary people, especially the governors. At same time, the social contributions of the art are not only confined to such function but also establish a special kind of connections between people, which cannot be supplanted by other forms, enrich cultures from regions and countries and even boost the development of the productivity.

Admittedly, the art is a good way to convey the discontent of the reality indirectly.
Take the classical Chinese literature as an example, instead of catering the mainstream value or representing the harmonious sides of the society at that time, there were many great works were just designed for criticizing the contemporary government. The fairy tale author tended to use demons to allude the muddleheaded officials who deprived the freedom and the wealth of the common people. Even such stories still treated as general tale and widely read, the essences value and tendency did want to voice the dissatisfaction of the unfair society.







On the other hand, other functions of the art could not be ignored either. Firstly, many art form, such as museum that attract seas of tourists from different locations with different background, provide a chance for them to communicate and share their own perspectives, no matter such opinions are contradictory or identical. Such activities bring unique connections and experiences to the audiences which other form could not be provided.
There is a very interesting example. The largest palace of the ancient China- Forbidden City -use basic 2 colors, yellow and red. The yellow represent the power and dignity that only used exclusively by empire in traditional Chinese culture, while it may represent Gold and wealthy in many tourists’ eyes from other regions and countries. The red express the happiness in local but understood in others ways that show the blood and coercion. Secondly, the art works could also reveal the direct feeling of the common people, who want to show the happiness or sadness of their daily life or the harmony between the human being and the nature…
