Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Movies and TV programs made in one’s own country are more interesting than those made in other countries. Now as we, students are all on the summer vocation, movies and TV programs are really on a period of prosperity. When we are enveloped in the atmosphere of joy in the movie theaters, some people begin to double whether the civil movies and TV programs or those made abroad are more interesting and popular? In my opinion, I think they both have their attraction. Firstly, as we know better about our own culture, the civil movies and TV programs are more easily to accept. When we see some details round the lives of ourselves, we can understand it quickly, get moved smoothly or gain a great deal of happiness. I think this is actually important for the viewers to enjoy the programs. For example, in these days, a famous civil movie called Tang Shan Earthquake earns the director an unprecedented amount of money as well as peoples’ great appreciation. Almost every viewer tears at the theater. I think the crucial reason for its great success is its topic is about on we know deeply about our own culture and history. I would prefer to say that it is the culture and history behind the movie moved the viewer more rather than the movie itself. However, the movies and TV program made abroad can drown people eyes too. These programs show culture stranger to us, but the stranger, the more surprise, and the more interested people will be. People has the character to eager to learn things they will gain a feeling of fresh, people want to know about other peoples life style as well as their culture. I think it’s as a matter of fact because of this; these great American movies have a huge market in china. If somebody invites me to see a movie, my first choice will be Forrest Gump. This movie is my favorite one; it gives me a chance to know people’s life on the other coach of the Pacific Ocean. To simply sum up, I think the movies and TV programs made at home or abroad have their special character to drown our interest. However, it is more common viewers are focusing on the story told by the movie but not where the story happened or where the movie or TV program is made. Therefore, we will enjoy a movie or a TV program no matter its made at home or abroad as long as it has some points to involve in. |
