Whether or not  younger school children should be required to study art and music, to supplement the compulsory subjects like mathematics, linguistics, science and history has been a main controversy in the field of primitive education for a long time. Due to individuals' unique experiences and cultural backgrounds, people's views vary from their own respectives: some people assert that it is unnecessary, or even waste of time, for school children to study art and music, which might be more suitable for an ones rather than younger school children, especially aged five to  ten; while others hold the point that younger school children should definitely be required to study art and music for their valuable youth, which can enhance their learning ability.  As far as I am concerned, there is no doubt that the schoolchildren should take arts and music in addition to math, science,history and language for the following considerations.

First of all, study art and music can give the schoolchildren much broad horization of the knowledge which help them set the problem smoothly. In this competitive world, it is necessary for the people master much knowledge from all aspects of field especially in the childhood. Studying art and music is really a good program for schoolchildren to understand some other fields that they never learned about. When they acquired the art and music in their early years, they can hand them in the whole process of their lives to deal with the task easily. That will be a great benefit for their whole lives.4 b& Q7 f, m" ^9 s+ A; g! B* J" K2 i

In addition, art and music courses may trigger the interests of schoolchildren. In this situation, some of the schoolchildren’s potential would be stimulated. If the schoolchildren attend courses such as math language, science and history, it is easy for them to get bored because of the flat pictures appears in their mind everyday. Art and music just like a bottle of fresh water which makes their mind clear and innovative. And they can also promote the schoolchildren to imagine some amazing phenomenon that never occurred in the word. Thus, it would helpful to their imagination which will be great used in further career.$ g. v0 i, G& F

Admittedly, besides taking math language, science and history, the schoolchildren must master some knowledge both in art and music. It is really a tough task for such little schoolchildren to achieve. Their playing-time will be decreased by heavy schoolwork. On the other hand, these negative impacts are not to be considered when comparing with the benefit in their future study and lives.4 @7 E0 S1 a4 H

To conclude, from what we have discussed above, we can conclude that to study art and music in addition to math language, science and history8 z+ T9 `! ~) v3 J
can not only broaden their knowledge scales but also make a chance to find their interests and potential. That will bring great benefits to their whole lives and career.
