Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Governments should pay more attention to health-care issues than environmental issues.


Changing the channels frequently and seeing different issues either about medical treatment or environmental protection, I 'm often amazed by these large quantities of problems that occurred in our society, which is due to our growing population and the harmful human activities. Many authorities argued which should be given more emphasize on, however, from my stand, there is no need for them to argue because the government’s budget should be splitted into 2 parts, health-care issue and environmental protection, equally.

"Protect our environment by ourselves right now!" advertisements as these can be seen everywhere on the streets, owing to the great significance of protecting the environment. First of all, if the environmental problems can be handled by the governments, the public will pay less attention and fees, for instance, people live in the dangerous areas always wonder what time will a tsunami or other disasters come and busy buying protection tools such as a snow shovel and a computer with wireless network when a heavy snow hits the country. But if this amount of money can be saved, it may contribute to a increase in the public income. Secondly, without the worries about catastrophes, for example, thinking about where to move to in order to avoid the disaster, citizens are able to spare time to indulge themselves in working , which promote the workforce of a country and may lead to the development of the technology. As long as the environmental problems can be dealt by our authority, individuals would have leeway to focus on other essential factors for progressing.

On the other hand, seeing patients wait in the hospital hall in a long queue, governments ultimately realize that the medical treatment is a thorny problem wait to be solved. By government's supporting the health-care organization with large amount of funds, even people who are under the average living standard receive a fair retreatment and are able to survive rather than wait and die, owing to a lack of money, in which way can we ensure our fresh workforce. Furthermore, a sound health-care system diminish our costs on the medical treatment , in other words, it helps people to save their money, especially those who are struggling in the poverty, as well as to fill in the gap between the poor and the wealth, which accounts for an integral part of a country's developing.

Thus, so long as can the health-care issues and environmental problems can be given the same priority, a comprehensive developing country will soon be seen rather than suffering the ever-deteriorated environmental catastrophe, due to little awareness of protection, or witnessing a dynamic society, owing to an enormous gap between the different classes.
