Chevalier de seigngalt who was a rich merchant wrote a memoir which recalled his life and adventure. The reading considered that the memoir wrote by chevalier was inaccurate. However, the professor argued that the memoir was indeed true and reliable.

Based on the first point made in the reading that chevalier borrowed a large sum of money from a merchant, which indicated that he was not as rich as he said, the professor stated that as a businessman chevalier did no always have a lots of chase, for he had to sale his things and then could get the money in several day.

According to the professor, chevalier actually remembered the content during the conversation, so it was no doubt that the memoir wrote about that meeting was true. Besides, there were some people witnesses that. The reading, on contract, the memoir was written many years after the conversation, therefore, may no be accurate.

Besides, there was evidence that chevalier escaped from the prison by digging a hole. The document in the prison stated that the room he used to live was repaired. This contradict

Some people think children should study and play, other people think children should help with household chores.

Recent years have witnessed dramatic changes in the field of home education. More and more parents tend to require their kids to do some basic housework. In this case, some argued that its not a wise choice to ask to spend their precious time on the trivial things, instead, they should do something more meaningful, say, studying. Others contented that doing some household help to develop the over all character of the children. Personally, I side with the former.

First and foremost, we know that the main responsibility of the kids is study. After a whole day listening to the teacher’s talking about the math problems and science issues, children feel boring and tiresome. Therefore, the most enjoyable thing for them is to play with their classmates or simply watching the television, and they don’t want to bother by their mum about the duty of washing the dish or sweeping the floor.

Besides, it’s reported that during the early period of the children, the absorbing rate of knowledge was at its peak. If parents blamed their children for not cleaning up the house, the children would be forced to do the household chores. In this way, the studying time would be cut down and the interested would gradually decrease, then, the study efficiency eliminates. After all, the most effective period missed. The virtue is the household chores.

Last but not least, by undermining the household chores time, children are likely to spend more time on their interested and develop their personal character. My friend, who spent the majority of his time on dancing, while most of our class was assessed to do the house duty, got his master degree in the hip hop dance. Even though, he haven’t graduated from high school still, he had traveled around and perform his skillful dancing step to the whole world. Only if his mum did not asked him to finish the household, he had time to purchase his dream.

To sum up, I consider that parents are better not to draw their children on the duty of household. Otherwise, their kids would loose the chance to go further and develop their personal interested.
