The points made in the lecture counter arguments made by points of the reading passage. The author concludes that the fuel-cell engines have several advantages by using in the automobile. The lecture refutes the argument by claiming that the professor of the reading passage is quite optimistic because the hydrogen used can not solute these problems.

First, the lecture states that the fuel-cell engine should utilize the liquid hydrogen, but this kind of hydrogen is difficult to store in the normal place. It must stay in very cold place. This undermines the reading’s claim that this internal-combustion is used easily available.

Second, the lecture argues that applying hydrogen do not solve the pollution problem. The reason is that even though the car no longer to produce any pollution, the factory which born the fuel-cell engine would discharge some pollution objects. This challenges the reading’s statement that this kind of engine and this fuel are environmental friendly.

Third, the lecture says that the fuel-cell engine is quite expensive because the factory should invest much money in its manufactory. Moreover, if without this engine, the car does not undergo the reaction with the electricity and the car can not work.
This is contrary to the argument in the passage the fuel-cell engine will soon be economically competitive.
