    When asked about what is the best way to learn about a country, many people suggest visiting museums. To get a full appreciation of the idea, we must make a close study on it.

    First, there is different kind of museums in a country, including military, historical, arts, archeological, astronomical museums and so on, which record a country's history, culture, current development, so the museums is the cream of the country to some extent. By appreciate paintings, sculptures and architecture in the museums, the tourist can get a profound impression on the country.

Another equally important consideration is that visiting museums can save a lot of time. Usually a tourist hasn't enough time to stay long in one country, he need to find a way to learn about the country during the shortest time. Compare to visit museum, making a journey around the country will take much time, so the tourist has to give up this way and choose to visit museums. For instance, I visited Greece this summer. Because Greece is one of the very earliest cradles of human civilization, so there are many places worthy of visiting, but I had only three days to stay there and had to do business during most time of the day. Some local people recommended visiting museums and I followed the suggestion. The interpreter introduces both the abundant exhibits and the long history, in this way, I am capable of learning about a country in limited time.

In addition to this, another aspect is that visiting museums is economical because the country attributes museums to public service, and provides fund to maintain their operation, so the ticket of the museum is often cheap, even is free for the visitors. The traveler can benefit from this and enjoy their visit. For example, when friends come to my hometown, they often visit the famous historical museum, because a person only needs to show his ID card to apply for a ticket without money.
