Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Only movies that can teach us something about real life are worth watching

Allow me to begin the writing with a story of my own, I remember when I was a little girl, I preferred to watch the animated cartoon movies which made by Disneyland. The Mickey Mouse serious, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Snow white, these characters and their stories are still vivid in my mind. Even though they are not presented in the realistic world, their adventures and experiences give me an impressive life lesson at that time. See, Disneyland presents a fantasy world full of joy and happiness which tell the wisdom and philosophies of real life that other movies cannot reach. In my point of view, I disagree with the statement that worth-watching movies are those only can teach us something about real life.
Admittedly, real life not only contains the good side but also the bad and malicious side. To be more specific, what is true about real life? Life and death, success and failure, both brightness and darkness of human nature and so on, these are all related to real life. So, trying to think about is it a good thing to let children watch the bad aspect of real life? Real life movies may contain a large amount of violence and sex scenes which are harmful for the mental development of children. I once read a psychology-related survey on newspaper; it is showed that children who watched TV more than two hours a day prone to act violently and destructively than the children who didn’t. The survey also said that children will be inevitably affected by the frequently appeared scenes of immoral things. Thus, there is no reason to say that we can learn something good from this kind of movie.
Another argument of my opinion is that only watch real-life related movies cannot stimulate people’s imagination and creativity. Despite real-life related movies can teach us about some valuable life experience and lesson, there are still something important we need learn from other kinds of movie, such as imagination and creativity. For instance, if we don’t watch the movies about scientific fiction movies, we won’t have the innovative ideas on science and technology. As a result, human are hard to invent something useful or beneficial to the society.
It is commonly known that movies are instructive and enlightening, but if we only watch the movies that teach us about real life, it will bring an exactly opposite effect.

The lecture mainly refuted the idea that dinosaurs are endotherms and responded to the points that mentioned in the passage. Actually, scientists do have the evidence to prove that dinosaurs were not endotherm.
First, the lecture pointed out that the Polar Regions were not as cold as today. In fact, the Polar Regions were warm enough for dinosaurs to live. Also, the fossils found there may prove that the severely frigid weather caused dinosaurs hard to immigrant and died there. On the contrary, passage stated that dinosaurs fossils found in Polar Regions showed that dinosaurs is endotherm, because only endotherm can maintain their body temperature in such kind of cold climate.
Second, legs underneath body can refer to the idea that dinosaurs need such legs support their considerable weight and large size. It’s unnecessary to connect the dinosaurs’ legs position with high energy for running. While, the passage claimed that the same leg positions of dinosaurs can help them produce high energy for running.
Third, although dinosaurs had the bone structure of Haversian canals that endotherm concluded, dinosaur also contain growth rings that control the bones’ growing of dinosaurs. This structure reversed to Haversian canals; it would control the growing of dinosaur, especially in the cold periods. Also, growth rings only occur on the animals which are not endotherm. However, the passage indicated that the presence of Haversian canals can prove that dinosaur is endotherm.

The best way to improve the quality of education is to increase teachers' salaries.

Nowadays, the importance of education cannot be easily ignored. How to improving the quality of education has become a highly concerned question in the modern world. Admittedly, the quality of education is related to many aspects and teacher is just one of the factors. As far as I’m concerned, it’s ridiculous to connect the quality of education and teachers’ salaries.
There’s no doubt that increasing teachers’ wage can stimulate them more active in teaching, but if teachers themselves do not satisfy the requirements to be eligible and good teachers, there is no way to improve the quality of education by increasing their wage. To be more specific, increasing the wage cannot help teachers promote their teaching abilities. For instance, once in China, the government wanted to reform the education in public school in order to improve the education equality in public school. The government took measures of rewarding teachers with money that depend on the average scores of students. However the outcome is not very conspicuous, because the survey shows that the teacher in public school is always not as qualified as the teacher in private school. Money cannot increase the ability of teacher and as a result cannot advance the education quality.
Instead of increasing teacher’s wage, there are many ways to advance the education quality. Improving the education instrument is an indispensable factor. It’s a common view that education instrument or device is related to the education quality. The book and computers in libraries, the apparatus in laboratory, the facilities in sports; these are all associated with students’ education. In a word, the student performance directly link up the quality of education. Trying to think about if one school libraries contain millions of books on different aspects and the other school only has several of books; obviously the former will have higher quality on education than latter one. Besides advancing the education instrument, hiring more eligible staff and compiling better textbooks; these are ways that can promote the quality of education.
Teachers are always the most important factors in education. For a long-term consideration, increasing teacher’s wage cannot bring the constant effect on education quality. Only qualified teachers, up-to-date education facilities and most importantly students themselves working together can truly increase the quality of education.

The lecture totally refutes the functions of the Chaco structures found in New Mexico in the American Southwest, and responds to the points in the passage as follows.
First, there weren’t enough fire places inside the building for people to make a living in Chaco structures. To be more specific, if the massive buildings served as residential apartments, there had to be enough fire places for more than hundreds of families to cooking. But the numbers of fire places are merely ten. However, the passage indicates that Chaco structures were used as residential purpose because the outside appearances of Chaco structures like apartments which many people have been living for centuries at Taos.
Second, no supportive evidence showed that the Chaco structures were used to store food supplies. There was not any container to store grain maize that remained in the architecture. On the contrary, the passage states that the size of the house was suitable for storing food or grain maize.
Third, the broken pots found close to the Chaco structures may be trash or leftover, because some building materials and construction materials had also been found near the Chaco structures, which implied that these materials were used to build the architecture, and they were just remains. This point disagrees that the house were used as ceremonial centers because the find of pots which demonstrated in the reading.

People would be happier if they had fewer possessions?

People are always facing choices in life because it’s a common view that you cannot have your cake and eat it too. When speaking of happiness and possessions, different people hold different attitudes. Possessions can truly bring one a lot, feed one’s vanity and extravagant life. Yet we need to admit that there’s something that possession cannot bring us. More possessions, means more responsibilities, stress and even dangers. That’s why I agree the statement that fewer possessions can bring more happiness.
Inevitably, you won’t have much time to enjoy your life and accompany with family and friends if you own a considerable possession. More specifically, you have to carefully manage your property, maybe investments or something like that. Needless to say, you won’t have enough time to invest in yourself and your family. Work or Life, In fact, today many people faced the same situations. Once I read a survey that associated with the relation between happiness and wealthy on newspaper. The survey suggested that people who own large quantity of property actually don’t have higher happiness index due to the lack of time to enjoy real life, on the contrary, people who are middle classes have much higher happiness index. Sometimes, we have to slow down our steps and give up a few in order to swap more valuable things. Such as, having picnic with family, travelling around world, Fishing, painting and whatever you like.
Just like what I’ve mentioned before more possessions can bring dangers in some degree. Trying to imagine that some bad guys will covet your possessions and they will blackmail you by any means. Writing a threatening letter, kidnap your families or friends, and etc. In this kind of state will you have a happy mood and in a good shape? The answer is definitely not. It’s not worth costing your invaluable life because of the possession you own.
Sometimes people ignore the essence of life, they care more about immaterial things rather than the true happiness. In the end, I would like to reclaim that fewer possession can bring you more happiness.

Going outside means a lot, having more opportunities, enjoying the journey of different cultures and customs, and most importantly broaden one’s horizon and accumulate one’s experience. Despite, going outside seems to have an unstable life; it’s also necessary to run away from villages especially which have traits of Ignorance and provincialism. Needless to say, people ought to challenge themselves when they are still youthful and vibrant

People can acquire more opportunities which lead them to the path to success. They will obtain more chances particularly on job. The job markets always require a large number of labors in developed regions because of the huge demand. People can try different types of job until they find the most suitable job. The aspiring seekers may able to find their desirable works or set up their own firms. Let’s take a friend of mine for example; before I knew him, he was just a poor boy from a rural area, after he left his hometown and found himself was good at selling. He established his own company and became a millionaire. See, go out can give us the possibility to find out what really can we do about ourselves and bring us success.

We can get access to different cultures and customs, which brought us happiness and exciting experience. For instance, China is a country with vast expanse which caused many regional differences. We can visit the well-known Terra Cotta warriors in Xi’an, Forbidden City and Great Wall in Beijing or Hangzhou Xi’hu scenic spot. You can not only feast your eyes on these beautiful scenes, but also broaden horizon and knowledge in different aspects. As you can see, you will be agreeable and exciting when you go out.

The journey outside is absolutely meaningful than staying in village, we can gain a successful and wonderful life throughout it. So, why not pack your suitcase and enjoy the life outside?
