Communication plays an important role in our daily lives. It is hard to imagine living without communication. As there are a variety of types of communication, some one assert that face-to-face communication is better than other forms such as letters, email, and telephone calls. But in my opinion, it is not the case.

First, face-to-face communication is not convenient enough today. As modern people, our life is becoming more and more busy, and we have to communicate with others more frequently, even with some important person at any time. Telephone calls make it possible to communicate with others at any time you want while face-to-face communication can not. If we want to do a face-to-face communication, we have to fix the time and place in advance, and we can not change the plan. There is no denying this mean is very inconvenient, especially compared with telephone calls.

Second, face-to-face communication is costly. Just imagine how it would cost if two people want to communicate with a great distance between them? I think hardly anyone can afford it. For example, I am studying in northeast china, while my home is in south china, it is impossible if I want to keep in touch with my mother by face-to-face communication. However, using email, which allow us to communicate with others regardless of the distance at a rather low price, almost anyone can afford to communicate with others far away.

Furthermore, peoples’ attitude and selection suggest that more and more of them consider email and telephone calls is “better” than face-to-face communication. It is reported that more and more people accepted email and telephone year by year. If the latter is a better way, why do so many people tend to use the “worse” way voluntarily?

To sum up, face-to-face communication of course has it’s own merits, but modern communication types such as email and telephone calls are more convenient and less expensive. They are better than the tradition way.

作文是中文的话我会写的很好,可是英文的我就倒了.
现在看起来好象是小学生的作文,不过有个牛人叫我就这么写,说是TWE就这么要求.
所以我拿个他看,他就给我个5分!
所以我也就达到目标了,现在我也不贪心了,目标到了就收手了,反正现在考试都到了.
以后我一定再努力提高自己的水平!

别打击的太狠,一来我不考GRE作文,二来我要求不高,4分就够,当然5分更好.我作文比较菜,这是第一篇,前天晚上边和同学聊天边写的.超时了5分钟.不过字数是够了的,还大大超过了:)千万给点意见,别打击我的积极性.实在觉得我写得好给点鲜花也是要的,嘿嘿^_^

It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay.

It is so difficult to compare whether it is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Every coin has two sides, and both choices possess their own advantages and weaknesses. In my opinion, however, I agree with the topic statement that It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city.  .

Firstly and most importantly, children who grow up in the countryside can better concentrate themselves on schoolwork and learning. In big cities like Beijing, the capital of China, there are plenty of powerful distractions, including first-class sports facilities, video game bars, parks, zoos, and various TV programs, all of which are attractive enough to induce children lacking self-control to indulge in them and neglect schoolwork. In contrast, children grow up in the countryside have few such things interesting enough to enjoy, so they would use more time in doing their homework and reading more books. The knowledge they acquire and the learning habits they form during their rural life is very helpful when they become adults.

Secondly, living in the countryside can make children more independent and work harder than their counterparts who grow up in big cities. Most of children living in the countryside need do a great deal of housework in their childhood and they live in a generally crude environment, in which, for example, there might be no delicate food, many poor people, and frequent natural disasters. Brought up in such an environment, the children can quickly get used to and cope with difficult circumstances, while many children who live their childhood in big cities are more fragile and susceptible to external conditions. Meanwhile, as is known to us, most of the good universities in China are distributed in big cities. Children from the countryside would overcome all troubles by themselves and study how to take good care of themselves because far from their parents,. However, in this part, children live in the big city have worse ability to deal with their daily lives.
  
Of course, I have to admit that children living in big cities can broaden up their horizons sights  and enrich their experience about the latest fashions and styles, which are not available in the countryside. But I think this point is not the most important, for we can develop these abilities when we become adults. In conclusion, I believe that living in the countryside is more helpful for a child’s growing up.

感觉最后一个段落在做让步的时候,没有把前面的总结一下
还有学习方面的说太多了,再来点别的东西可能会更好!in the countryside肯定还有好的东西!

整体感觉很不错。语言比GC的复杂哦：）
