Do you agree ordisagree?*




Nowadays, there isa hot topic discussing (discussed) amongsociety, which is whether people should always keep polite to others. （Nowadays, whether people should always keeppolite to others is a hot topic. 感觉这样更好些，没那么绕。还有就是这句话只是提出它是一个hot topic，而后面却没有说为什么，让人感觉这只是一句空话，不具有说服力。真的是hot topic吗？如果不是写这篇作文，你在日常生活中真的会和别人讨论吗？)As far as I'm concerned, the decency is a good virtue.


First of all, people,especially young people, should not be impolite to the elder. In my personalperspective
（From my personal perspective, 如果不确定用什么介词，有个小窍门，可以把这个短语放到google.com里去搜索，搜不到就说明不是这么用）, the respect to the old people is the （a）basic virtue of a young man. When we were children our parents taughtus to be polite to the elder. In the Asian culture, the elder is in a highstatue in society (has a high social status). Thereis a custom that the family member will （should）leave the mostimportant position to the elder.（如果老人很多怎么办，比如：90岁的妈妈，70岁的儿子。。。Itis a custom that people should leave the most important position to the seniormember of the family. 这样会不会更好些？强调家庭辈分关系）For example, they will let the elder sit in the middle seat when the familytakes a picture together. （Similarly,In the work places 两个并列的例子可以用些连词连起来，这样逻辑上更清楚些）In the work places, the freshmen will prepare a cup of tea to the senioremployee when they work in the first day.(这个例子感觉不是很好，如果是当成常识来举例，那显然不是这样的。你可以说某些新员工会通过这样的方式来表达对上司的敬意，从而给人家留下好印象。) Because of the respect, it's necessary for the peoplebe polite to the elder.


What's more （这个是递进的关系，这里应该用Moreover, Also等）, it’s a common phenomenon that some of us look down the on people who are in a lower （low）socialstatus. As a result, these
people（inferior people这里指代很不明确，还需要读者判断一下）often endure many impolite behaviors from others.No matter what the differences in of occupations,social status, or whatever else, everybody (anyone who) lives in this world has the right to get their (his/her) respect from other people. Usually, we can find an entrepreneur(企业家太大了，senioradministrator)
says hollow to every employee in the company, even to theoffice cleaner. On the contrary, (On thecontrary 的意思更接近instead, 它后面的内容是否定之前的陈述，这里应该用in contrast)we are often able to hear some news aboutthe celebrities’ impolite actions to affront the poor. Finally (consequently更好), they are condemnedby the society.


However, being politedoesn't mean we are tame and can be easily offended by others. In fact, if there is someone who would hurt our family members or people we love（d）, it’s unnecessary tobe gentle to them. I like Forrest Gum,. In the movie he was (is前面是过去时后面是现在时) a gentle man, even in （at） his childhood. However (两个however，换成Yet), the mostimpressive plot is that he gives a heavy punch to the guy who hurt Jenny. I believe the a truly gentle man will be brave to protect their love from any attack instead of pretending polite and indulging their harmful behavior. Thus, even though suffering from the offence, the one who still mindlessly keep polite isactually a coward. (例子举得不错)



To sum up, we needto be polite to the old people and treat everyone with equal respect. Incontrast, when our family members are rudely injured, keeping polite is not awise choice.
