TOPIC: “Instant foods, instant communication, faster transportation, all of these recent developments are designed to save time. Ironically, though instead of making more leisure time available, these developments have contributed to a pace of human affairs that is more rushed and more frantic than ever before.”
In the era of when it has instant foods, instant communication, faster transportation, are all of these recent development designed to save time? The answer I reply to the question is that it is the developments that are designed not only to save time but also to save free. Therefore, I strongly disagree that these developments have contributed to a more rushed pace of human affairs than before. Below is my explanation.(后面这句多余)
With the developments of the instant civilization, the developments have resulted to saving time. In the past, people did not develop the instant civilization; they need to spend so much time to do everything. For example, when they wanted to send a mail to a person, they need to spend much more time to sent it to the person by foot or riding on the horse than they do so in the present for the reason why they did not develop the instant civilization in the past. However, nowadays, we have the faster transportation such as airplanes, express buses, and thus we may save much time to sent a mail to a person. There is another instance for this: in the past, they had not mobile phones in hand, when we need to call someone by the time we need help on emergency, we did not notify someone in time and it cost us much time to notify them. And that maybe lead to the loss in the emergency. Otherwise, in the present, we have the instant communication that helps us to save the time to notify someone in the emergency. thus, it will decrease the loss rate in the emergency. Hence, the developments have contributed to saving time for us than before. 很明了,好呀。我就喜欢看这样的文章的。
Furthermore, the developments of instant civilization do not result to a more rushed pace of human affairs but save free than before. (我建议用:THE CRITICS OF MY VIEW MAY ARGUE THAT。 However, IT IS NOT THE CASE。)There is only one difference: In the past, people had no instant foods, instant communication, and faster transportation, however, people in the present have the developments of these. For example, when we have developed the instant civilization such as instant foods, we need not spend time in cooking meals by ourselves but go to the bar snack for the meals so that we can save time spent in cooking meals, and thus we can have more time to relax ourselves than before. And, there is another instance: as we have known, the subway, which is a faster transportation, can take us to destination in our cities quickly. However, in the past, if they went back to home or elsewhere in the cities by foot or bike, it cost them much more time to reach destination than now. And thus people in the present can save more time to have a rest than before. Hence, we may say that the developments of the instant civilization are convenient to us but not keeping us busier than before.人家的COMPLEXITY 你没抓到呀,人家的意思是生活节奏越来越快结果带来了PHYSICAL PRESSUE
该怎么反驳呢???不是单一举些例子出来就可以的哟。
To sum up, the developments of the instant civilization do contribute do save time for us and be convenient to us. But the pace of human affair in the present is not more rushed than before. Therefore, I cannot agree the assertion that the speaker insists.
