100619NA If you need to discuss upsetting or controversial problems with others, you will use e-mail or text messaging, or use the telephone or voice-messaging.

As the technology is rapidly developing these days, different parts of the world are connected into a small village where we could contact family members through telephones, even have a distance of thousands miles away. When it comes to the debate about upsetting or controversial problems, various options are come up according to different people's characters. As for me, E-mails or text messages could be an optimum choice for it could wait for us to be rational and objective  and also do some help in the field of legal system.

To begin with, emails or text messages have an advantage over the telephones that they could offer us to return to a sensible state instead of being emotional or extreme. Because the problems are still under contention or they may as well easily trigger the emotional movements, we should stay more serious and calm to face them in order to make huge progress. Emails and messages,with the element of writing can achieve it. On the contrary,  when we talk on the phone, we are always indulged into a kind of pressure where we have to give a response as quickly as we can, thus sometimes, we are not able to do the correct decision, or even decide something that is totally different from our original thought. Utilizing emails enables us to think the whole matters thoroughly and reduce the opportunities for mistakes.

Furthermore, emails or messages force us to be objective  to a controversial problem. Someone might say that through telephones, people could receive complete information about the others' opinions, because we may grip some sarcasm in ones' tones or we may realize something special in ones' eyes. Nonetheless, in my way,  this makes the progress of solving problems more complex, since we are easily affected by others. In contrast, with emails or messages, we are open to varieties of ideas and opinions. In addition, we have enough time to search for more information to support our decisions or find theories to attack others'.

Finally, in some careers, emails could become a convincing evidence when we need to prove the validity of invalidity of some behaviors. An illustrating example is that emails has become one of the formal evidence forms in the legal system, hence if we have some conflicts in the business, we could offer the relevant emails or massages to defense ourselves. It has been used widely around the world. However, the conversations through telephones are hardly to be used as an evidence due to its quality of fast-disappearance. Even though it could be recorded, it is still not convenient for us to take the record equipments with us all the time.

In conclusion, I prefer to use the emails or messages to convey my ideas when I have some controversial or upsetting problems with others. Even though it is hard for us to deal with them quickly in the limit of emails and messages, this kind of means could push us to a state of rationalness and objectiveness and could do us a favor in some certain areas as substantiated evidences.

100924NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? College or University should offer students more preparation before they start working.

Someone believes that college or university is a society in miniature, therefore, schools should help the students get ready for working, while others still view the obligation of universities or colleges as purely mental instructors without much consideration about practical stuffs, such as jobs, earned-money. As for me, universities do need provide more information, skills and psychological instructions for the students to get prepared for the work.
To begin with, teaching with information about careers may trigger students' interest and reduce the truancy in the school. It is common that students always cut classes in the universities, blaming for the teachers' incompetency. Sometimes, it is true that some of teachers do nothing in the class but reading the context from the beginning to the end, with little explanation and supplemental materials, which easily lead to the students' boreness. Adding information about the practices and work tendency to the class will raise the students' interest and encourage them to explore further in this certain field. One of my classmates, Jane, who wants to be an architecturer is such a person that she never skip one single class of engineering, because the teacher is professional in the theories as well as the introduction of practices.
Furthermore, especially in the universities oriented to sciences and engineering, the skills are critical so that the pedagogues are supposed to integrate rules with applied methods. Skills are eventually applied into the reality to change the society so that the practicability is the pivotal element to count . Universities and colleges are inevitably to pay attention to the work, offering the modern technology and advanced skills to turn their students more competitive when they enter into the job markets.
Finally, what I think is more important is that the students should adapt into the working environment as soon as possible with the psychological mentoring from the teachers. Such a kind of phenomenon exists that the employers complain about the difficulty to recruit employees with the numerous applicators flooding into the company. The main reason is that the students hold higher expectation about themselves, which results into the emergency of unemployment. To solve this problem, I believe that the universities should burden the responsibility.
In conclusion, universities need to do a favor for the students' preparation for the work, thus they will increase the students'interest , make them more competitive , and reduce the emergency of the unemployment in the present society.

12.2  101218NA Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Two persons cannot be friends if one is richer than the other.

It is popular to analyze the factors contributing to a friendship. Someone views that the more similar materials two persons charge of, the more chances for them to become close friends, while others stand in the spiritual angle to make a conclusion that only both parts have interactions in some common areas can they eventually become friends. Honestly, I am the one holding the point that money is not the necessary element in each friendship.
At the first glance of this issue, it makes sense that persons with little money could not get along with the wealthy. Millions of examples exist in the reality: in a corner, few people will stop in the face of a miserable beggar, let alone talk with him/her. Generally,the rich are busy with their work and social activities for the max profits without a single minute to care about others. In this sense, it is true that two individuals who have similarity in money or status are more likely to meet with each other and, then, establish a valuable friendship, no matter on the basis of business or their matched personalities.
However, it could not be denied that there are some other more critical elements deciding a relationship. Sincerity, I believe, is fundamental for each friendship which makes the world filled the true love and gratitudes. Bill Gates, the richest man, are familiar with the rest of the world, helping the poor and helpless with  his own established charity fund. Without his willingness and care from the bottom of the heart, lager part of the world may face the starvation and destitute, feeling jealous about the wealthy people in the upper class of the society.
Furthermore, spiritual connection is also pivotal for a friendship. Two persons without a common interest have no possibility to keep a friendship long. Gandhi, once a poor man with little money is still a spiritual mentor in India nowadays as people there recognize and share his knowledge and spirits one generation after another. This case indeed indicates that the money could not play a significant role to determine a long-last friendship.
In conclusion, money does influence a relationship in this commercialized society, especially for some temporary friendship, but what is more important for a true friendship is the spiritual quality, such as sincerity and common interest ect. ,where money could not play a tiny role at all.

Regarding the issue that whether to choose the universities famous for her impressive employment or the  those with excellent professors, different people with various considerations for future, I believe, have umsimilar options. The students who are  intended to dedicate themselves  in the area of  academia , a university with well-known educators is more suitable for him/her, while the one, like me, a student  who is longing for work after graduation, is more advisable to go to a school with perfect employment performance.

To begin with, a university whose graduates perform well in the career indicates that the school emphasizes to cultivate students' ability and ethnics as well as their academic study. In this way, the students, after graduation, are able to have more possibility to be employed, adapt to the working environment quicker than others, learn faster than his/her competitors and therefore receive a  greater chances for promotion. These qualities developed in the university are indeed necessary for me, who major in Communication . After all, only under the education of famous professors, without any real skills and experience could not represent your competency for this certain work.

Furthermore, taking the reference of the graduates' good job, I could evaluate that, generally speaking, the school is in a high reputation. In my country, it is common that school honored by local or domesticate people has a high rate of employment, as most of the employers are credited in the  university and it will be convienient for them to make a judge ment at once. This phenomenon is quite popular in the labor market, where company owners just pick the right applier in just  ten minutes, if he/she is hurry to  some other business, just  largely got impressed by appliers' graduation school. A school with high reputation is supposed to be worthy to go for some reasons, such as terrific campus atmosphere, harmonious relationship between students, or students and teachers. However, a school with one or some famous teachers could not justify that the school is appreciated by the employers, who, mostly, pay attention to the whole situation of the university.

Admittedly, my choice of university with well-performed students does not equal to ignore  the effect of professors. Honestly, these two kind  of elements are influenced by each other,  famous professors are more likely to nurture better students with the ensuing well jobs, increasing the reputation of the school.

In conclusion, after serious comparison, I would choose the universities known for their graduates, since it will offer me an environment to become a competent worker and endow me a high reputation, benefiting from my graduate university.
