我开始还以为gre版的狐狸老大回来了,呵呵
I fundamentally agree with the first part of the statement that there is no such things(thing) as purely objective observation. But as for the reasons, it is not only because of the observer's personal expectations or desires that subjectively(?) guide the observation but to a large extent lies in that the observation is of itself a complex notion which is hard to define neither(either) as objective or subjective, even in the most serious realms as scientific fields(太长了吧!显得罗索but also because of the difficulty of define its objectivity). And to validate whether our scientific discoveries is objective or subjective, we formed our scientific(?) research method to reach a middleway which is(was) tested to be applicable.
Firstly, let us make clear the concept of objective observation, we could define it as something gained by our sense organs while before our mind make any reflects(动词吧reflection) on them, it is independent of our mind. And once our mind begin(单复数)to be aware of the things just gained, we have granted it with a definition that explained by our existed(existing) knowledge and experiences, in another word, these observations have become subjective as it has been connected and entitled with human's mind. So, the statement that "there is no such thing as purely objective observation" does make sence(?), and it will never change. However, this kind of explanation seems to violate the conception that long existed in scientific realms that the Objectivity is (the删掉) at the essential of any scientific action. if there is no ture(?) objective observations serve as criteria, how could we validate the scientific discoveries only due to the subjective observation form so vastly derived ideas? Here we have find the solution to cope(with) this problem as follows.
Admittedly, due(?due to) the analysis above(above analysis), there is no pure objective observation as to individuals, however, in the scientific realm we have long established (the删掉) method that we call it scientific research method, which contains three phases that gradually converted the subjective observation into objective one, or at least accept its objectivity. First we creat(?)a free atmosphere where everyone could freely rise their own observations and ideas related to it as assumptions. Then when more and(more) individual observations concurrently repeat a same observation, we could consider it to be the possible objective one and we give it a new name: hypothesis. Letter(?), if this observation is constantly repeated for many years and without any sound exceptions(any 后面接单数!你错了好几个), we finally validate it as a fact, or, an objective observation. Any scientific discoveries, no matter it is as significant as Relativism which finally change our life or other trivial ones that draws (?)no attention from our ordinary people, they are all strictly under this formula to gain its validity. And that is how we deal with the seemingly controversial observations.(观察是从主观到客观过程,你要是这么写的话岂不是和第二段的定义objectivity有点矛盾?)
Moreover, as the issue states, there are also those (some)observations deliberately guided by the subjectivity of some individuals aiming at acquiring some specific results, for example, to gather data in order to prove an assumption, especially when a research program was initiated by profit-oriented companies and sponsors. In this view, we should avoid the tendency of distorting the observation by making comparisons among different research groups to get rid of those sheer subjective observations.
In sum, the pure objective observation hardly exists mainly because of its nature of transience, the personal expectations and desires could guide to subjective observations but their effect is limited and do not take predominance over the former reason. Moreever(?), we have established a sound method to guarantee the objectivity of an observation in scientific research field. |
