From darkness to brilliance, human history has been lasting for thousands of years, during which man first cognizance the world and then rebuild the surroundings. It appears that the knowledge we acquired is much more complete than previous, while people turned out to be more puzzled when they are facing many phenomena in nature. Probably, the material world is showing consistency to a great extent-----the invariable facts in the past do not change and the living circle maintains. However, the increasingly thorough and overall view to the world is taken: the more is known, the more is found to be unknown.

Thanks to the progress of the developing science and technology, greater details and more different aspects can be concerned. As a result, the simple, easy-to-handle processes have to be evalued in different aspects. “In the past, when a medicine is about to be applied in clinical use, we just let numerous volunteers to try, and examine if the medicine is effective and whether it has any side effect.” Dr.Leo Kuivent, the leading professor in the medicine school of Oxford University,said in an interview,” but now the chemical constitutes are first to checked in all the relevant biochemical reactions, and then as we acquire much more knowledge on physiology and immunology, the drug should be applied to the rats and rabbits to ensure that it will do no harm to the balance in the immunological system and cannot deteriorate the function of some organ ,which may not cause a obvious side effect. It is a complicated and tedious work.” Apparently, it is not the withdraw of science, but the huge progress which human made, in order to strengthen the safety of living.

For instance, it is the previous overwhelming explanation of the extinction of dinosaurs(the huge prehistoric animals) that the terrible abrupt change of the climate force the dinosaurs to leave the world , without any food to eat.However,a recent research carried out by geologists indicates that this massacre was probable due to the astral collision, since many aerolites (the fractions of the other stars after the crash) at that time were discovered in many places of the world. Thus, the former confirmation is weakened, and the question which is considered to be well-responsed go on to puzzle people once again.

Admittedly, what people considered to be mysterious and superstitious in many aspects are explained by the scientific measures. And there are so many examples: It is not determined by the wife but the husband’s genome that whether their child is to be a boy or a girl ; the inflamed throat when one catches a cold is no longer the punishment of the gods but the syndrome of an intense immunological reaction. So, a society which has more disciplines to follow has formed, instead of a mess of unwarranted suspicions.

During the course in which people acquire the knowledge and pursuit the truth, man will keep facing this kind of uncertainty and complexity as mentioned above. Man will always settle the historical problems ,with the latest scientific achievements and techniques, following the new tough problem to be resolved in the future.

很佩服这篇文章的精彩句式和一些IMPRESSIVE的词（我总在这个方面浪费很多时间），不过这篇文章的说理过程比较让人担心，首先是整体态度不明确，包括一开始提出观点就比较模糊，后面的论证中也没有紧扣观点，其实在说理过程中对观点的回溯可能比例子牛不牛更重要，第二是例子的说服力不够。这样的结果是最后得出结论时给人一种突兀的感觉。毕竟ISSUE重要的是逻辑RATHER THAN文章的华丽。呵呵，一家之言。
