In many countries children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some people regard this as completely wrong, while others consider it as valueable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibility. What are your opinions on this?

I agree with that proper working is benefit for children growing up.

By working, children could have the chance to know the society which is much different from the pure world of school or home, where they only interact with peers and adults who only try to give them preservation. There are few opportunities for them to go out see what exactly the society is. Some workplaces like restaurants let children working there have access to different kinds of people. That would expand their vision and improve their social skills, which would be really helpful for their future life.

Besides providing a wider prospective, obviously, working could also give children the relevant working skills like how to do the work and how to work effectively and efficiently. More importantly, through working, the sense of responsibility and independent of children could be enhanced, because all their work should be done by themselves and should be completed on time. That is not like at school or home, where many things are prepared for them by their teachers or parents.

Despite of many advantages of children having paid work, there are some problems should not be ignored. To earn money, many students would like to spend much time on working instead of studying, which has great negative influence on children who are still in the age of acquiring knowledge. And some too heavy work would damage children’s bodies. All these should be avoided by parents and society.

Thus, considering all above, I get my conclusion that it should be allowed that children going out to do work on the basis of not disturbing their normal study and life.
