13"Many of the world's lesser-known languages are being lost as fewer and fewer people speak

them. The governments of countries in which these languages are spoken should act to prevent

such languages from becoming extinct."

With countries and areas communicating increasingly, more and more people would like to use

a much widely used language such as english to communicate with others all around the world

and then the result is that many lesser-known languages are being disappearing as fewer and

fewer people speak them. Then the question comes: Should governments act to prevent those

languages from becoming extinct? In my opinion, the answer is "yes, they do"

Some people may argue that the prevention of those seldom used languages is meaningless

because such languages are of no practical use, claiming that language is just a sort of tool

to communicate with others, so if you and me do not know and use that kind of language, why

do we have to take the trouble of preventing it from disappearing? This seems to make some

sense, however I hold that like the actions taken to prevent some valuable animals which are

in a hot water and becoming extinct, our governments should make their efforts to work for

the prevention of the priceless and scarce languages for a lot of reasons.

First of all, most of those languages can help us to know and learn about the history of the

development of our popular used languages. Many of the world's lesser-known languages have

such a long history that probably many people used it as a main language long time ago

and they share lots of elements and sources with our wildly used language. For instance,

there exists a kind of seldom used language now in Fujian province in China which has been

proved as a language wildly used around 800 years ago with the Minan language that is the

main language used nowadays in Taiwan. Thus we can get to know the source and development of

Minan language comparing their commons and differences.

Secondly, language is one of the most prominent reflections of culture and history of an area

and a country. Different cultures often nurture their different languages and in turn

languages are always mirrors of those cultures. When we want to know an area's culture, its

language without doubt is one of the main things we have to get to know. Just imagine that

you do not know Japanese, how can you get to know the traditional culture of that country.

Without knowing that language, what you can know and learn about its country and

culture is at most from the TV, newspaper and magzines  which are not the most effective ways

of knowing a culture and country. However, if you know and even can speak that kind of

language, you can directly learn it from people who speak the same language with you and the

books in that language as well. So when we want to know the culture and history of an area,

one part of the world's cultrues and histories, where the lesser-known language is spoken, we

have to learn it and take some actions to keep it.

Since we can get a lot from those lesser-known languages, Why not our governments do their

best to act to preventing them from being disappearing. Meanwhile, not only the governments, we

people also should have that kind of idea and take some actions at once.

With countries and areas communicating increasingly, more and more people would like to use a much widely used language such as english to communicate with others all around the world and then the result is that many lesser-known languages are being disappearing as fewer and fewer people speak them. Then the question comes: Should governments act to prevent those languages from becoming extinct? In my opinion, the answer is "yes, they do"
Some people may argue that the prevention of those seldom used languages is meaningless because such languages are of no practical use, claiming that language is just a sort of tool to communicate with others, so if you and me(I) do not know and use that kind of language, why do we have to take the trouble of(没有见过这个搭配,只知道TAKE PAINS TO 和TAKE THE TROUBLE TO 我比较倾向于用TAKE PAINS TO ) preventing it from disappearing? This seems to make some sense, however I hold that like the actions taken to prevent some valuable animals which are in a hot water(?不能理解什么意思) and becoming extinct, our governments should make their efforts to work for the prevention of the priceless and scarce languages for a lot of reasons.(不知道你是不是这个样子分段的。

First of all, most of those languages can help us to know and learn(如果这样使用用意思程度递进更深的好些) about the history of the development of our popular used languages. Many of the world's lesser-known languages have such a long history that probably many people used it as a main language long time ago and they share lots of elements and sources with our wildly used language. For instance, there exists a kind of seldom used language now in Fujian( province in) China (用P。R。C比较好) which has been proved as a language wildly used around 800 years ago with the Minan language that is the main language used nowadays in Taiwan. Thus we can get to know the source and development of Minan language comparing their commons and differences.(不够深入,一种文字的存在就只有这点作用吗?
Secondly, language is one of the most prominent reflections of culture and history of an area and a country.  Different cultures often nurture their different languages and in turn languages are always mirrors of those cultures. When we want to know an area's culture, its language without doubt is one of the main things we have to get to know. Just imagine that you do not know Japanese, how can you get to know the traditional culture of that country. Without knowing that language, what you can know and learn about its country and culture is at most from the TV, newspaper and magazines, which are not the most effective ways of knowing a culture and country. However, if you know and even can speak that kind of language, you can directly learn it from people who speak the same language with you and the books in that language as well. 现在我们几乎都会英语难道说你就是直接从老美那里了解他们的东西的吗?)So when we want to know the culture and history of an area, one part of the world's cultures and histories, where the lesser-known language is spoken, we have to learn it and take some actions to keep it.(只是讲两个方面的话换一下连接词,比如ON THE ONE HAND,ON THE OTHER HAND)

Since we can get a lot from those lesser-known languages, Why not our governments do their best to act to preventing them from being disappearing. Meanwhile, not only the governments, we people also should have that kind of idea and take some actions at once.(如果你没有深入谈这个问题的话还不如不要提)

This seems to make some sense, however I hold that like the actions taken to prevent some valuable animals which are in a hot water(?

Meanwhile, not only the governments, we people also should have that kind of idea and take some actions at once.(如果你没有深入谈这个问题的话还不如不要提)
